tbh i have been considering the de-locked handles, it will make it less likely to be robbed, and the stupid barrel will not break :)

If you've de-locked it is it poppers? What if the central locking fails? Or the poppers? I know my boot lock is tempremental and won't open sometimes so there's no chance i'd get in through the boot lol!

edit-should have added my bf's 8v central locking never worked so he had to get in using the key all the time!

no, the handle still works in the same way.. it just opens on the central locking, then you pull the handle to open the door. the door handles are the same as, but have no key holes in them.

Oh I see. lol
I've been thinking about this wheels situation and I do like the original wheels that's on it-when I first got the car I was like i'm not changing the wheels, I want to keep it original, everyone changes the wheels it's the one thing that distinguishes it from the other models (and the colour) which is what my bf said when he first got his gsi and now wants bbs
But i'm still in 2 minds.
*I want deep dish wheels without the hassle of arch rolling - because of the rust i'd end up needing a respray and I don't have £1500 for rust removal and respray  is there anyway I can without all the hooha?
*I like the ronal turbos but they do look ridiculous (in my opinion) on the mk2.
*I like the ats cups but I really don't know if they would suit the car-again cus of the big wheel arches. I would need a photoshop request.
*I really like the Rays engineering "volk" wheels but everytime I see them they are on jap crap
*I want to get away from 16" wheels as you all know due to the odd size tyres are expensive.
*I really want to get the wheels coloured because I like to cause a stir :p

What is a girl to do

*Edit* I now know why it's always jap cars they are on-I didn't know they were manufactured in japan!

Well tbh, if your seriously into weight saving/strength/wheels you would buy them (if money let's you)
They are some of the best wheels you can buy for that function tbh!

I wouldn't mind spending like £1000+ for certain wheels, like BBS E30 Motorsport Spilts, Schmidt TH Line Splits, BBS RS Splits etc

As I know I could take them off the car and keep them for a very long time!
(But this will not be for a long time lol)

I don't like it lol I always have visions of being locked out the car-if the central locking button fails you can't exactly put the key in!
I am also looking for a set of steelies for the winter but trying to find a set is proving rather difficult!

Just delock the pasenger door, smooth the boot lock and wiper, thats what I've done and it makes life so much easier to polish the tailgate lol.

With the price on 16's they not as much as they use to be as standard cars like the Fiesta Zetec S comes with 195/45/16 from factory now and so are other cars! There's more demand for them now than they use to be!
