White FR to Black Cupra - Cupra Now Sold :(

did you take the allen bolt out for the hard coolant pipe when fitting the tip?
when i removed the allen bolt for the hard coolant pipe i pulled the pipe out the way a bit and fitted the bolt without it bolting the pipe to the engine i found this held the coolant pipe off the tip.

Didn't undo the coolant pipe or anything Al just squeezed the old one out and the new one back in. Don't really get what your last bit meant, did you bolt the pipe back in another location you mean?

i put the bolt back in the same place but pulled the pipe out of the way so it was no longer bolted in place but held off the tip with the bolt by the bracket the bolt is supposed to go through.

its difficult to explain but by doing what i did it kept the coolant pipe off the tip completly and made it a lot easier to remove and refit.

Yeh cheers for explaining Al, read it a few times last night and it made sense haha didn't even click yesterday that there would be one! Might be something for me to do next time I'm underthe bonnet. Can you remember from memory where the bolt is?

Just been out for a blast and can definitely tell the difference with the tip on!

im not the best at explaining things lol.
if i remember right its down by the elbow of the tip, follow the hard coolant pipe to where it meets the block and thats where its bolted on you should be able to feel the allen bolt i cant remember the size of it though 8 or 6 maybe.
glad your happy with your new tip i wasnt all that impressed when i fitted mine although the difference in sounds was quite satisfying.

Haha was a hard thing to explain though! I'm hoping it will be okay but if not in the future I'll take it off! Shane I didn't know before hand as it was a bugger getting the standard metal one out!

Is yours mapped? Hoping it's going to feel miles better once done!

mine wasnt mapped when i fitted the tip but ive had mine stage two mapped by bill at badger 5 since may i went for custom code never had stage one map though.
the difference it makes when the car is mapped is amazing the best way of explaining it is 2nd gear feels like standard first gear 3rd feels like standard 2nd and so on. and it pulls at any speed any gear.

Just ordered some wind deflectors and a forge intercooler to throttlebody hose so the engine bay matches abit more. Decided to run the engine cover too so trimmed a tad bit more off the back so it doesn't catch on the brace. Think I'm going to go for a stealthy engine bay, paint **** black haha

Yeh good shout! Had one of them on the White one, will go for the harder compound one this time though. Need to find myself a spare engine mount, or are they dead easy just to whip off and back on again?

there really easy to change i hammered lightly an old flat head screwdriver down the side of the bush then you can just push it out with your fingers as the standard bush has a plastic edge which folds in when pursuaded, then the new bush goes in with a bit of force but not much i left my new bush to soak in hot water while i removed the dog bone and bush to make it more pliable it worked a treat.

i fitted mine after i got mine mapped i felt the need for it straight away as the engine felt like it was flexing a lot more than before.

Sorry mate, should have been more clear. I meant whipping the mount off and back on the car? I'm cool with the bush cos I did it on my old one but my mate just fitted me the mount whilst it was in for a service. Didn't know you could knock it out as a whole unit though, I'll try that next time!

That's good news then, another Saturday afternoon job in the girlfriends garage haha got some hubcentric h&r ones this time round mate. Had them eBay delta mics ones on the old White one then fk's when I had the adapters on the Porsche wheels. All seemed good quality but the eBay ones weighed a ton as were made out of steel rather than alloy. You thinking of getting some like, or just curious?

They arnt just spacers mate, they are pcd adapters aswell. Our wheels are 5x100 pcd and in that link you bolt them to your hub and it converts the car to have a 5x130 pcd, which is the fitment that porsches are, so allows you to fit Porsche wheels. But if you just want spacers and keep the standard wheels you need 5x100 20mm hubcentric spacers. Hope that kinda makes sense!

Got a good update, just off to get some pictures :D
