Ape's LCR225 Thread (Getting Back on the Road)

Thanks buddy! I Don't like following trends too much, prefer personalising the car rather than modifying it to please others.

The inspiration wasn't from the R26R (although I asked for a red colourmatch from the French hatch, but it's French so I won't admit it!), I wanted some silly coloured wheels and the colour theme of red and silver has just taken hold.

All the bits will be delivered and fitted before September hopefully ready for Trax and PCAD at Castle Combe

Cheers :)

Jay - cheers matey, I don't see many Leons around the locality. The Recirc is a bit loud for a recirc lol. Apologies if you see it being driving like a loon, I don't get the chance to drive it much lol.

you might see another one about that might be a bit familiar Ape, Jay's just bought my old Leon ;)

Can I give you a bit of advise.

When removing the bumper, jack the car up and remove the front wheels.
Open up the front side of the wheel arch liners and you'll find 2 x 8mm bolts which hold the bumper mounting clips on. Leaving these as the last bit of the bumper to remove back off these bolts.
This will remove the whole mount instead of fecking about with trying to side it out of these side mounts, as its a major PITA.
This makes it massively easier when refitting this

Thanks bud,

The one powdercoat on one wheel has started to crack which I'm not pleased about, I think it could be the heat that's caused it. It can't be impact damage as I've not hit anything and the cracks are like rings around the spokes, heat stress I'm thinking. I'm taking it back in a couple of weeks to get it sorted.

ARB should be with me tomorrow :D Then I've got to look at an Exhaust and a Realignment :D

I see Eibach are doing light weight tubular ARB's now too, wonder if Neuspeed saw this coming and arranged a GB to get rid of old stock ;)

Right then!!!

UPDATE y0! I was going to fit the ARB only today on my driveway, but luckily the super secret Pp Garage was free so I spent the afternoon there with the lads fitting the bits and pieces :D

Fitted the NeuSpeed 28mm Rear Anti Roll Bar today. It's transformed the car no end, the rear is so lively yet so planted as well. Great fun on the twisties!
