cost me £30.50 + £2.80 p+p. looks ALOT better than the whiskers!!

got made redundant yesterday, so this will be the last mod for a while i think :(

bad news :( sorry to hear that, maybe there will be more jobs about now because we are starting to get busy again with pricing jobs which means more builders are wanting to do work

I can't remember if I mentioned before, but I attepted smoke side repeaters and they went badly, as the common ones sold on ebay don't have a reflective lining like OEM ones...just black plastic making them far more dangerous. If you find a good set, let me know ;)

I personally just went for "xenon coloured" H7 bulbs (Osram Nightbreakers) which are VERY good in my opinion. Quiye white and very good performance.

You could easily fix your bumper damage. Look up on stone chips etc, or a similar fix that people use for alloys. You'll need abrasives (very fine sandpaper/wet and dry etc) and make sure it's smooth, use a filler in the gap, smooth again and use primer and touch up paint from Halfords/Dealer. I'm assuming you have black magic.

I've seen Scott say that he has a sun strip, and I'm interested in a subtle one (not one of those ugly chav ones...). And these should be very cheap I reckon!

I was also thinking about speaker upgrades for the hell of it, but whilst listening to loud music on the way home today, I thought the OEM ones are pretty good anyway

Also, with new headunits, the media controls on the steering wheel are rendered useless (don't know if there's a way round that?), so that's the main reason that put me off.

In terms of trim, I bought 4 small aluminium vent rings from eBay (italian seller I believe) which are simply a ring (3-4mm wide), and is very subtle but really brings out all the other tiny bits of metal in the car. In the end the seller didn't accept the payment due to being inactive after sending them to me, and Paypal refunded to me after 30 days, so I got them free in the end :p

What were you thinking of painting? I know you can get red "switches" for the air conditioning vents, as on the Cupra, but never appealed to me greatly.

Have you considered a Cupra handbrake cover? It's around £15 from the local stealer (better off getting it from Sere Motors tbh...) and really adds a bit of class with leather and red stitching. Matches the steering wheel logo :D

for the steering wheel controls with an aftermarket head unit, you can get adaptors to make them work

apparently you get better sound quality and also if you get a double din type, it smartens up the dash a bit imo

Not bothered too much about it to be honest. Have a full functioning speakers system that's better than most OEM's anyway ;P

How much is an average HU and 6x9 speaker set?

How are they better then most OEM ones? sorry i am not very clued up on sound systems lol

And, i have been looking at http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/8301/referer/rc_googleproduct.html mainly because it looks OEM. Not sure about the speakers tho, its not something that i plan to do

Oh, I also bought a exhaust tip 2 days ago, came today. Looks pretty swish ;)

It's a 120degre down down universal attachment. I'll upload pics later

Clicky

Looking forward to seeing this, might get one for mine. Much easier than changing the back bumper, and much cheaper than a new exhaust. ;)

Yeahh, I bought a used Cupra backbox for mine several months ago, but once receiving it I enquired to the insurance company how much extra it would cost... Only... £300 extra..... =.=

So yeah, this is for the time being, until I can afford to add the proper exhaust...

yo yo :D i've already done my vent surrounds a nice gloss red, looks sweet :)

the steering wheel adapters work if you have the adaptor or a head unit that's made for it like the sony bt ones which have bluetooth etc aswell :) i'm not too sure about a double din hu as i rely heavily on my wee cubby hole for fags wallet etc, just like it :)

the bumper is beyond filling and smoothing, theres a crack and a dent which sucks lol

and for my side repeats i'm thinking of going for some tinting spray that way i'll keep the reflective back...as for the tail lights, local stealers have photographed them to see if warranty will cover it :p

Sweet. With the side repeaters, you'd have to spray the outside, due to the inside being enclosed (unless you find a way of removing the clear front without damaging it... good luck :p )

Not sure if it will be affected by weather, but obviously you could be able to lacquer over the top.

Put up pics of the vent cover :D
