So i wasn't sure about my retro Lucas fogs I won on the bay, I offered one up to the front of the car to see if it looked okay or if they were going to be gash.

TBH I was quite pleased, I think they're alright. Since I decided to keep them, I gave them a nice polishing yesterday and they came up really nice.

So on to the next thing, spacers.

Does anyone on here know where I can get some wheel bolts for a mk2 polo that are 20mm longer than standard?

Unfortunately, the ones i got with the spacers are too long so the rear wheels dont turn with the spacers on! I dont really have the right tools to cut them shorter - at least not without some finger removal, I dont fancy dremeling them lol

What would you lot do? I need some ideas, I want to try cutting them tbh i hate the idea of spending money on wheel bolts.

damn you and your sensibleness

actually it's saving me a fortune in petrol, insurance, tax, servicing etc etc. I might have spent a bit on it when i got it, but it's mint and i've still got a ton of cash left over from the LCR.

people underestimate the running costs of the LCR, things like tyres, brakes and just consumables really add up.

I can buy 4 tyres for the price of 1

not to mention the value of this is increasing but the lcr was going down.

Maybe some of the money is being spent, but the whole point is the monthly costs. I am spending a 1/4 on insurance, about 1/2 on tax and petrol and consumables are sooo cheap. i dont even wanna think about the bill if I bought a petrol tank and steering rack for the LCR, the polo was £85 for the tank and £65 for the rack.

I've never been happier, honestly I get so much back from this car, it lights up my face every time I jump in. Proper fun, without the turbo lag, running cost and paranoia about leaving it in a car park. Did I mention that it turns more heads?
