Make sure you choose the best spray shop you can find.
YOU have the choice, it's not up to the insuranc company.
Find the one you want to use, tell them you want to use them and get them to sort out the quotes for the insurance company

I've just read this thread from the beginning, i was really enjoying it, then i got to the bad news... FVCK!

I hate these thread, i cant imagine how you must feel... I'm gutted for you fella. It's clear from reading your journal that your car is very important to you.. I share you enthusiasm!

I wish you good luck and I really hope everything gets sorted with minimum inconvenience incurred... its such a lovely car. Keep us update with any news.

cheers buddy, the car is back to its best..im not kidding there is virtually no paint problems on it now. I need the wheels refurbed again, because the guys that painted them didnt put enough paint and laquer on the wheels so they are now stone chipped believe it or not.

Last weekend i painted the hubs bright silver and relaquered the brembos. I have debadged all the R badges now, as i was sick of laquering them.

Its due a major and cambelt service shortly, at the same time i will get a jabba induction kit, NGK iridium spark plugs, FMIC and maybe a detail. I have plenty more to do, but just not the time to do it.

I'm pleased to hear you got your car fixed, its a lovely motor.

I'd like to de-badge my car, I've just got to find some time to do it. Get some pictures up as i'm interested to see how it looks.

hey guys, yeh have done a few things, but nothing major; as running my flat has made me poor

SUSPENSION UPDATE
Ok so if you have read through the thread, you will know i wasnt happy with the rebound when i first bought the car, (far too bouncy). Well a few months after that i changed the rebound to 5 clicks (as before was 3). After driving like this for months, and the roads where i live seem to be getting worse and worse, i have changed the car to a more 'road going' level. Slightly more comfortable but in no way less of a good handling car. It was a compromise i was willing to take. I emailed KW for the recommended levels and the car feels much better, less crashy, (bear in mind the suspension was quite comfortable but due to the bad roads it emphasised it more).

I am still debating if it should go lower, but many people have told me not too. So at the moment it will sit at this level.

I painted the rear hubs in hammerite, and cleaned the rear caliper with red t-cut (of all things!!) to great effect i think. The pic really doesnt do the caliper justice tbh

Also re laquered the front brembos (a while back) and hammerited the hub thingy too

As for the sticker mate it needs to go on the outside
