Nice one.
The heatshield is the one you get with the neuspeed kit, i took off all the stickers and polished it back to smooth shinny metal with a metal polisher. You can see the shield before it was polished in my sig below.

would it be benficial if most of the filter was covered by a heatshield but only allowed entry for a cold air feed. I am gonna see my sheet metal shop to see if they can make one for me...

Due to a house purchase i ended up putting this on hold for a while.

went for a compromise tho, a jetex panel filter for th LCR until i have more funds.

Be interesting to see if it makes any difference.

i put a green panel filter in and to tell you the truth dint notice any diff from a paper filter

how is it possible to run no maf then?

Uses MAP sensor for boost control, Lambda for fuelling, knock sensors for timing. Not quite sure why a MAF is needed?!

He will be running a standalone ECU with the big turbo I imagine, or if not a vastly altered ME7. You can't just unplug the MAF on a normal LCR unfortunately.

No standalone ECU, but a custom chip by www.jdengineering.nl
Without the maf you loose the tcs.
