2. cold air is more dense and although it will still be delivered to the manifold at the same temperature cooled by the intercooler it will still be denser /have greater air mass.

if the air enters the car cooler, it will leave the intercooler cooler... it has a certain amount of energy on entry to the filter (measured by temperature) the turbo adds a set amount of energy (making it hotter) the intercooler removes the same amount of energy (making it cooler). Lowering intake temp lowers the temp at the inlet manifold.

I want more power but daren't go down the map route again so hopefully il get 20 bhp or so out of the itg

Why dont you want to go down the remap route?

There is no way you will get 20bhp from an intake with no remap on a K04 never mind a K03s bud.

no chance o 20hp of the intake with no map. the more tuned your car is, the more benefit the intake ill be and the bigger gains you will see. at stock id bet you would only see 5-8hp, as the turbos hardly working in comparison to stage1, 2 and 2+.

tbh id prob not even bother with an intake at stage 1 unless you really want the noise. stage 2 is where its at

I'd recommend the best breathing setup you can afford even on a stock remap. The better the airflow the better the turbo efficiency.

Not many custard code things go well so dont be afraid to try someone else like Revo or gaic, theres plenty of high powered cars on here with no cam follower issues and u can get an uprated one for peice of mind :D.

They told me it had worn the camshaft down and it's cost 400 for a new one ! Think I might ov got done! Anyway I had to stand the cost of the map so it was money down the drain. I'm fearfull now. Just want some more power so I know an intake will be safe even though not the biggest gains

Earlier K03s engines did suffer issues with premature camshaft wear, but as I am aware, the parts affected were superceded. It would be interesting to know if the new inlet cam you have is any different from the original.

I have now decided to sell my ITG intake to fund other things and have now added it to the for sale section if anyone interested?
