Does anyone else watch it? If so, what a season opener ! Rossi amazing as ever but gotta feel for Nicky Hayden getting out dragged from the last corner and beaten to 3rd

Yeah definitely - when he's fully happy with the bike (unlike in practice when he was losing his head with it which is unlike him) he's going to be a big threat, and good luck to him! Next couple of years I think its going to be him and Lorenzo battling 1st and 2nd

Dont worry replays will be on aaaaaaall week much to my mum's disgust :D

my mum gets well annoyed with the amount of repeats on eurosport aswell. I can see Ben Spies on a factory yamaha in a few years as rossi's contract is up this year and has made noises about being unhappy with him and lorenzo in the same team so one of them will leave

Wot no sexy Suzie.

Anyway good race especially for 2nd and 3rd.

Thought Stoner was going to go off in the distance and Rossi settle for 2nd. The pillock falls off again.

Pedrosa - went backwards - I assume that he caned his tyres in the first few laps as Dovizioso was up there.

Plenty of grunt in that Honda too, but ironic leaving the Ducati behind on the straight.

Nice to see Hayden performing and Ben Spies too.

Good interesting race.

Been waiting for the first race for months, was a good race as u say i thought stoner was guna run away with it. Unlucky he fell but he seems to do that from time to time when hes out in front.

Rossi was class as ever, the fact that he won the race even tho on the speed trap he was last...legend. Hopefully hell keep it up thoughout the season

Hopefully going to silverstone in june/july to see them

 pedrosa always has blinding starts then adreneline wears off and remembers hes on a 220+bhp bike and only weighs 50kg lol. On the serious side, technical guru neil spalding was saying pedrosa and marco melandri had serious problems setting the bike up, and to be fair in friday practice pedrosas bike would not stop wobbling down the straight. And as for ducati being out gunned by honda:-o

You want to watch 125's for proper racing. Classic fairing rubbing stuff, half a dozen bikes going round the final corner at the same time. It does happen.

Bike racing is definitely more of a spectator sport. All good fun. :D

Quote from the BBC.
"Sunday's MotoGP race in Motegi, Japan, has been re-arranged for 3 October.

The postponement means the Spanish MotoGP in Jerez, Spain on 9 May is now next up in the calendar. "

Just incase you were wondering what happened.

But dont you reckon that if that would've been Rossi he'd have backed up Dovi 2 corners before to make himself the space so he wouldn't get outdragged?

Dovi had already done on the drag and beaten him to the line some laps previous

I think hayden only just managed to out brake dovi the 3rd corner from the end. either way dovi would have gone past him. just makes you wonder whether the honda engines will manage to last for 3 races each if theyre that much more powerful than the rest! i remember back when the 800cc limit was brought in ducati had a maaahooosive power advantage over everyone else for that season. which massively helped stoner win the title that year imo.

and as for bringing that forward :O thats madness. that will screw loads of peoples plans right up. if theyre that tight for space in the calender they should just cancel a poorly attended one.
