Cut the inside panelling out of your boot dave, and the bonnet if you haven't done it, get that car on more a diet lol.

Not after I had the car completely resprayed. If it'llbe going on another diet the wires that are no longer needed will be cut

im a little worried about what i might find under the carpet. im hoping its not that bad under there. did u just cut it out?

Spend some time looking back on this thread you see everything! I'm guessing you thinking about the sound deadening? Leave it, if you do remove it then you will have grey patterns were it was.

Re: Dinky Dave's Ibiza Cupra 16v Track Project - Now at AH Fabrications!

Went to Avia Auto's this morning to have my corner weight checked and altered if needed along with the tracking.

They set my car up to behave better under braking, told me to give it a go (Castle Combe this Saturday) if I'm not happy bring it back and he put it back or alter it to suit.

And well the bit I was most looking forward to was the weighing of my car, with half a tank of petrol as before and polycarb windows, window regs removed and bits and bobs when the throttle bodies were fitted the car now weights;

999Kgs

Happy with that because I even added weight with my new battery (+4kgs).

And they asked me if I wouldn't mind if they can put the car into their "Avia Speedshop Car of the Month"

Might be more for a full set up from beginning, mine was just lil tweeks and 2hrs work.

I can sense a bit of fear in that post phil! lol.... N/A Mk2 vs Turbo'd Mk3 ;)

Guess it's time for a uprated fuel pump then?

Spring Performance Car Action Day @ Castle Combe

Well it's been an eventful day!

Firstly I woke up late to convoy up with a for mates, then when I fulled up I noticed a small water leak from the thermostat housing but thought I could keep topping it up through the day. Got on the motorway and decided I be silly to risk the engine after all the work I've had done to it for turned around 5mins later water temps got stupidly high and I pulled onto the hard shoulder and switching the engine off.

Gave the old man a ring and he towed me home, got under the car and it was the elbow that connects to the thermostat housing..... the clip came loose and out came the water :( Fixed it and then had a huge air lock that took ages to sort out. Took it for a quick spin through the lanes for a test run (to scare the old man and because I missed my 1st session).

A mate managed to sell my 10am slot, so got up there by 11:25am.... sorted my breifing and brought another session.

Went on my first session (13:45) and on the warm down lap when I turned right I heard a odd sound..... after inspection I noticed the wheel was loose! All 4 wheel bolts on the passenger side wheel had almost come off! The second bad luck I had!

The other two sessions went great, think the only car that overtook me was a madly tuning Scooby P1 but that didn't pull away to much!

And then for the thrid bad luck (things come in three's) My in car camera didn't record a single second! The device is saying the memory card is full and the memory car is empty! :(

Anyone as even photo's or videos then please post them up!

Sorry I didn't get around everyone was pretty busy and did bump into one or two when in the que to go on track!
