Good point. My dealer is going on hol so is trying to rush it through. However, I want pedals, arm rest and ipod cable ordering. Not sure if I should just pick up and go back a week or later to get them fit.

They are rushing the cars through because they need the numbers for April, they were not best pleased when I said I would not collect mine before the 1st May so I would not lose a month of tax for the sake of a week.

A new car can be taxed on a week by week basis ie 12 months and 1 week.

Check your paperwork from the dealer - some stipulate in the contract that you must leave the tax in the window

i managed to get lifeshine and mats thrown in but like u im sure i read certain trim levels get mats free, im sat lookin through book now to see if i can find where i read it, then im goin to see if i can get the price knocked off the sport pedals the dealer are addin when it gets there, im sure dealers charge 50 quid for a set of mats

According to Parkers the mats are standard from Jan 2010;

(Tried to put a URL in here but it wont let me because I'm a newbie. Look at the parkers review of the Leon FR and it's under equipment and options.)

I hope mine is delivered as quickly as yours. Ordered on 6th April but current insurance runs out at the end of the month so it's motorbike only from then until I take delivery. I hope May and June are dry this year!!

The tax is legally yours, when u part ex your car with a dealer you can take the tax out the car and get a refund, your dealer should also hand it back to you if you forget to take it. im sure some of the robbin ones would keep it like but legally its yours

I was there about an hour but in all the actual paper work is 30-45 mins. Depends if it's all prep'd and straight forward. Where you buying from again?

Hi, I noticed the mention of mats, I ordered a new Leon today and when I enquired I was told mats are indeed included now!

Ordered Leon Cupra (Orange) 31/03/2010, Dealer said it would be 16 weeks. I still haven't received an actual date, each day seems to take 48 hours!
