looks like a Turbo dynamics md376? by the way does it rattle when you pick it up?

yeah its the turbo dynamics md376,
says it will make 240-260bhp,
getting it fit at a local garge where my step dad works so i get the labour cheaper.
turbo was on a offer on turbo dynamics website £1110, £200 pound cheaper than the normal price.
yeah it does rattle had to shake it hard tho

o are they still doing that deal, I bought mine last month because they said it was for a limited time only, mines still in the box, because I need a clutch first and funds to get it remapped soon after fitting. I'm glad yours rattles too! I was concerned when I got mine and could hear it rattling, I rang them up and they said its the vanes on the vnt mechanism. Just Im not fitting mine for a bit and the 12 month warranty starts from when it was made. so was concerned about the noise. I'm aiming for 220 bhp when I get mine on will be well within its limits then, I still want relibility. Hope all goes well with yours.

cheers, am going to run the turbo in for abit when its fit, then take it to be mapped, not to sure where to go for the mapped yet, i'll be happy with 230bhp.
where are you thinking of taking yours for the map?

Its a good idea to get it mapped pretty soon after fitting the turbo because you may be running too much boost with the wrong mapping, but as long as you don't thrash it with incorrect mapping it'll be fine. I'm taking mine to rs tuning in leeds basically because he's done loads of these hybrid tdi's and really know's what he's doing. I know he can get 240bhp and 380lbs ft of torque from them, but its a bit smokey so he turns it down abit to 230bhp and 350lbs ft. When I get mine done i'm going to get a little box as well to allow me to switch between different maps. Paul at rs will do this for you for a cost not too much i dont think. I'll have three maps then, a sort of standardish map around 140 bhp with good fuel economy and when other people drive my car, a fast road around 180bhp for dry nice days and the one I will probably use most, and a flat out map with lots of smoke around 230bhp, it'll just give it some flexibility, and should help keep the gearbox in one piece, as i'm nearing 100,000 miles now and I think anything over 350lbs ft of torque may cause problems, but we'll see. By the way what clutch are you using, thats what I need next then I'll fit turbo and go get it mapped. Good luck with it all, And while your fitting you turbo, get the garage to clean out your inlet manifold and block off the EGR too, as paul at rs tuning will map out the egr too to stop the CEL coming on.

my clutch is the sachs rigid clutch plate with organic facings and the sach pressure plate think the set up is good for 400ft/lbs of torque.
am going to order the allard egr power pipe and fit it just before i get my car mapped.

Sounds good to me, I'm getting the helix kit, just because its cheaper basically, £849 for single mass flywheel, friction disc, cover plate, and release bearing, but my insurance is due in may so gotta pay for that first, then I'll get back on with the mods, startin with clucth, then fit turbo, and like you allards egr delete pipe, then go get mapped at rs tuning, who you gonna use for mapping? im very jealous of you going hybrid! can't wait for mine to be done, Im bored with 130bhp:(
