I've had 2 of the Mk2's and the list just sums up what went wrong with the second one!!!

The first one was a peach!!! All I ever had to do was keep it serviced!!! Then I wrote it Off!!

ambient temp sensor,
n80 valve,
charcoal filter,
hall sender,
but then the diagnostics decides to start bringing up throttle valve position sensor!!!

And you know when you have a Mk2 Ibiza where your mates go to pull off their seatbelts in the back, and there's a bit of a silence when they realise that they don't role back anymore... you kinda have to guide them back in...

i think ive spent the same amount of cash repairing the cupra as i did modifying the 1.4. i think its a phase most of us go through.....

I cant see myself getting rid of my 1.4 for a while, going to spend some money on it and get the bodywork tidied up and a few other little bits.

And if the engine breaks then I will find something else to put in.

When you come out backwards from the tyres place after getting rubber swapped from one set of rims to the other, only to catch the front splitter on the (lowered) kerb and almost tear your front bumper off! more bloody work on the car I dont need!
