tbh Chris i had a few problems with that one too...it fell down all the time because it was stuck behind the light cover thingy...in the end i cable-tied it to a cable by the coolant bottle!!!

Theres plenty of room :p

oi you! get your ass down here and have a fiddle then :p

Car is booked in tomorrow for a fresh drink of CFS 5/40 with added 100ml of Nanoooo-Nanoooo.

The Quantum platinum shite that was in it is already badly oxidised (pre 10k), stinks of burnt oil, large oxidation peak at 1605cm-1 on the FTIR. Fortnuately wear metals are well in sync with a 200BHP engine thats done 7k.

Iron 13ppm
Silicon 25ppm
Copper 35ppm

No Tin detected
No Chromium detected
No Lead etected
No Aluminium detected
No Vanadium detected

Boron detected - **** PCMO additive pack

Calcium levels low - detergents not able to clean for much longer
Zinc levels okish - anti-wear package getting on the lowish side

Traces of other elements, but nothing worth reporting. Out with the crap and in with the Millers :)

Car booked in to AwesomeGTI on 12th April 2010.

Power seems to be holding back at times, so will see if the 007p solves it, if not I shall look into other possible faults....

Can't wait!!

Chris, try when your away to start the car only turn the key to first position.
then put on your seat belt and sort your other stuff out, to give the car a minute to run through its checks etc, then start the car.
I've always done this and never had issues with hesitation, when mentioning this to a mapper I know he suggested the above for people with the hesitation problem.

Where did you put your ballasts? Any pics? On my old TDI there was a lovely area for the ballast.....but on the LCR the twintercooler pipe stops you putting the ballast down there.

Best place I found was in the wing itsself, there's a wedge down there you can just push it into - will get a pic if you wish. Not the easiest manoeuvre to get it in there, but it sits well and won't budge :)

With regards to the different driving style, you'll be able to get used to the TDi style again post remap, can drive it easy with the lowdown torque then, or still rev the nuts off it and keep going, going, going :D

It seems very nice, just keeping an eye on something becuase when I drive over speed bumps at 0.1MPH I can here some metallic noises (bit like a metal washer moving on a metal bolt) - I've tried to get under to inspect but can't see much. All I can see is where the Neuspeed ARB is bolted it looks like one side isnt as tight as the other......more thread showing and the metal washer doesnt seem to be tight up against the ARB.

Can you recommend me a Airfilter? I bought a Jetex cone but it has rubbed and the wire mesh is in a bad state.....

Gone back to stock airbox but car feels so much slower now, need a new filter;

Jabba Cone with heatshield
K&N cone with gearbox mounting bracket
Carbonio system
Stock Airbox with pipercross panel filter
