ITG Induction Kit

Hi All,
Just wanted to solicit some feedback on induction kits.

I am still in the air over which mods to do first on my K1 (still standard). However, you will see from other posts other things I am considering but just to build a kind of long term project list was wondering if anyone has installed one of the ITG induction kits on their cupra or FR and can recommned;

If not yhe ITG one want other would you recommend.

Seems like a reasonably BHP increase, what other avialable and pricing as this ones around 300 notes.

ITG filter elements are good & that kit looks to be a good balance between sound & cold air supply, theres going to be completly seal kits out there that might give a better feed of cold air but if your after a bit of noise (The 2.0T makes a nice one with an open filter) then the ITG looks a good buy.

First power mod you need to do is a remap mate, Then once you have done that get a downpipe fitted or intake.

the ITG intake Is a really nice pice of kit! It was the first pod I had and I had it RR at AMD with just the intake on and it cum out at:lol: 295 bhp! And the sound is so good, love it

295 with just the intake is really good. With your stage 2 plus I would expect 360hp on AMD's rollers

It looks like most of the induction kits for the cupra are quite expense, around the 300 notes mark.

I had my heart set on the ITG kit but not sure i'm feeling 300 notes for this right now!

ANy other options?

I may just go for a replacement filter first but you know i'll end up with the ITG eventually.

In for revo on Wednesday, going to have a RR before and after so come Wednesday i'm on the slippery slope of mods.... :)

With the ditch finder tyres I have on at the moment could be interesting (waiting for camskill to put the Vreds back in stock!)

Well I fitted my ITG intake today and it sounds brill but coming from my carbonspeed intake and pipercross panel filter I don't know if it's much faster maybe a bit more responsive low down.
Anyway if you are interested my panel filter and carbonspeed maybe for salee only done 6000 miles.

Yeah i think I know what sound your talking about..

Was going to do it myself but as the weather was rubbish I took it over AMD's Essex and they done it for me. Did u do it yourself? If so how long did it take u?

The sound definatly turns heads lol

That's not too bad then. They charged me an hours labour so not bad I guess, I've got a little gap between the battery and heat shield. Is yours fully sealed there? If u get what I mean..

I played around with mine for 20 mins getting it to sit right but have no gaps.
I folded my foam under at the bottom towards the passenger side and got it tight to the battery so it fitted perfect.
You know the pipe that bolts to the bracket on the side of the engine beside the battery can you see the nut and bolt head or only the nut? ie is the pipe sitting with the bracket at the top or bottom of the pipe?

Off the top of my head u can see the nut and bolt I think? But I will check in the morning, why's that?

Think I will have a play around with my heat shield tomorrow

Thats the way mine is I tried it both ways and thought it fitted better that way. I moved the clip on my top radiator hose to stop it fouling too.
Good luck with your heatshield.
