exactly! I heard one of thos 888 versions or what ever they are and it sounded like some1 had set of a load of fire crackers in the back box....false sound, and a crap sound! They dont do corners either the VXR's.....steering wheel is just summet to hold onto while you are disapearing through the hedge!

Thats why i want a milltek, becaue it doesnt over power all the other noises such as induction noise. Ive never heard a milltek exhaust that sounds raspy. I know what you mean with the V6/8 noises that other cars make, but the milltek seems to enhance the engine tone rather than it sounding like its got an exhaust bolted on if you know what i mean. Ive never heard a bluefin so cant really compare but all the vids ive seen online of other exhausts sound like a cracked exhaust or like the exhaust has fallen off.

The milltek for the cupra is raspy

Why is it a false sound? Thats the noise the vxr makes with an exhaust! I reckon they sound ace IMO

I think they sound good too, certainly not bad for a standard car, unlike the cupra which sounds pants when standard.

Milltek

They're getting a bit like a clitoris....

Don't get me wrong, they are a sound piece of kit when they're working, and up there with the very best in terms of sound and performance, but they're not the only word in exhausts, and they (like other brands) can't turn a 2.0T into a symphony of aural pleasure, they can only improve on the OEM sound.

A bloke round our way has an S4 4.2V8, and it makes my 2.0T sound like a bag of spanners, even with aftermarket pipes.

I'm currently trying to make my mind up weather to go for a Milltek or Blueflamecat back. I'd like something that sounds like my mates st260 with his mountune upgrade!

It's a tough decision, one minute I've decided Milltek the next it's Blueflame.

888's arnt standard exhausts though they are remus exhausts fitted as an option, you cant really compair the sound of a modified car to a standard car.

I personally dont like the noise of them, makes them sound chavy, just my opinion though..

I would go for the Blueflame, thats coming from a milltek owner! they are as good quality at a cheaper price, sound similar also,

I just think that a milltek always sounds different on on every car. on some exhausts, if you put it on a corsa and then took it off and put it on a cupra (if u cud) it would sound exaclty the same, just a bit louder on a cupra. Just think millteks are nice and subtle....what the standard exhaust should sound like if ya know wot i mean......ive never heard of these blueflame jobbies, any1 got a link or know where i can have a look cos im open to suggestions if im getting similar sound and quality for less:)

Blueflame is much louder (considering the video),but also cheaper.
I'm still waiting for an soundclip with full exhaust to make up my mind.

poverty has the blueflame down pipe , not sure if this has added to the aural delights?

adds to the aural delight of the k1 for sure, basically sounds like a milltek with the standard back box but quiter overall.
