But where does any of it cost peanuts.
If your in the market for a Cupra R, then you get one if your not you don't. Pointing out the fact that aftermarket parts are being used on a production model is to be fair pretty pointless.
Speaking as a Cupra owner the R doesn't interest me because there isn't enough on offer to make me change, but if I was in the market for a new car having not owned a Cupra then it possibly might. But then I'd only have to start spending peanuts again to make it as quick as mine.
Take the fact that everyone seems so fast to rush off and want to buy a Ford or a Renault based on the news the Cupra R isn't a 2.5 TFSI with AWD
I find it funny because I wouldn't part with £25k to buy a slower more expensive car just because the R isn't everything we hoped for.
The new car is marketed as a product in its own right, not as a product to be modified by its owners. Just like the
K1 was marketed, just like the Cupra was marketed and just like every product they produce. If you want to modify it then you do, if you don't then you don't but SEAT don't have a box saying we must market this car to the people who bought our Cupras and modified them
Its exclusive in its market, because the parts come as standard on a UK car, and they don't on a Euro car. Hence Exclusive!
