So what's the other 1%?!?
To quote myself from another thread:
I have now replaced the CTS and the thermostat, the climate control diagnostic panel reads a constant 90, my mpg is as good as it ever was (mid/high 30's on a run) and the heater works fine. Yet my temp gauge still drops when I go down hill or take my foot of the gas for more than a few seconds. My mechanic said when he replaced the thermostat that he couldn't see anything wrong with the old one either.
So I've now spent over 60 quid replacing things that probably worked fine which is annoying. Or to look at it positively, it's cost me that amount to confirm that my engine is running at the correct temperature and I supposedly have working parts. It seems literally the only thing not working properly is the needle, so do I just put up with it as one of my car's quirks (as others on here seem to do), or carry on wondering if something is seriously wrong??
