Gordz - what did you use and how long did it last unitl your protection faded out?
Mark, since fitting these blinds have you noticed water where the door lock strikes, when you open the door?
A good wax should last a lot longer two weeks and typically the waxes that last a couple of weeks are the cheaper ones you can buy in halfords. I have had some waxes last 5-6 months from a single application i.e collinite 476s.I got this genuine bmw mini paint sealant on ebay for £5 (was a £300 option on the bmw mini options list!), guy didn't know what it was, found it in his new mini and just chucked it on ebay and I snapped it up
Well I applied it at the end of the summer, around September time, and about 5 months on it's still going strong giving me excellent beading and a great shine.
I spent all autumn / winter not waxing it and just washing it, and everytime I still got an amazing shine from the sealant, as if I'd spent hours waxing it. Loads better than just wax that only lasts a few weeks!
Here's what I did and the results:

Good sealants generally do last however. I tend to use sealants during winter months and waxes during warmer ones.
You must be applying it to thick and its not bonding correctly to the paint. Dodo Juice White Diamond is pretty good wax and should last a good 2 months. Try applying the wax thinly and then wait 24 hours, wash then apply another coat.Maybe I'm just crap at waxing! But I usually find wax wearing away after 3 or 4 weeks, shine stays, but I find the beading goes. But with the sealant this hasn't happened yet!
Probably could get better use out of waxes if I bought very expensive wax, and a machine polisher. But can't afford to! lol.
Wax I use is usually dodo juice Diamond something or other.
