if you ever get another heads up...let me know...pronto :D

Will do Sam. I'm pretty sure everyone i know that has one will be keeping it.

Also put my name down on the JBS group buy for one of their high flow cast manifolds, so the INA one will probably be up for sale in the near future.

I've been looking into getting a daily so i can use the Ibiza as a weekend toy. During the spring/summer i will be cycling to work anyway so i wouldn't be looking into getting anything until august time. Then the Ibiza would get fully stripped out and fixed buckets.

My 10mm hubcentric spacers arrived yesterday so they'll be bolted up on sunday along with the Super T's.

Haha! Might have to call in a favour from you if you fancy a bit of welding? For the moment i'd like to keep the headlining, just worried about it clearing the sunroof at the moment too.

If you can leave the car with me without the carpets etc, no probs:) If you're only wanting the back hoop that might be awkward tho.

Leaving the car with you wouldn't be a problem. I have been thinking about just putting the cage in as it is. I'm going to trial fit it, to see how close the cage sits to the steering wheel and how much it gets in the way of the mirrors, then decide what to do.

I maybe interested

Okay Tris, i'll give you a shout when the JBS one has arrived and is fitted.

Small update:

Today I fitted the Super T's back on the Ibiza. I had planned to fit my FK 10mm hubcentric spacers to the rear but they didn't want to fit. I'm going to get them machined out at work when I get the chance.
The MO's will now have the tyres removed and my existing track tyres fitted over the next few weeks.

I also started fitting my AeroCatches. I only got as far as fitting the pins into the slam panel but it's a start! I'm hoping to get a decent days weather to finish the rest of it off.

spacers wouldnt sit flush? whats the bonnet pins like?

Nope, there's the 57.1 part of the spacer then it tapers in again and won't let them sit flush. I tried them on the fronts and they would be fine.

I haven't actually fitted the catch part to the bonnet yet, so I haven't got any pictures.

10mm spacers wont have enough 'meat' to go over the rear discs to remain hubcentric, they only really fit on the fronts as the spigot is much shorter than the rear.

Got aerocatches to go on mine, instructions are a bit of a headf##k

Ahh i see. I'm going to let the guy at work have a look to see if he can do anything with them.

I've figured out the best way to fit them, it's now having the guts to cut the bonnet up. As long as I get them fairly straight i'll be happy.

Did I make that sound like I knew where to get them?

I say someone gets a mold made

I thought that you knew something we didn't!

I'm not too fussed about the weight. If i had a carbon one i'd get it painted anyway as i don't think it would look right on mine.

I'd lighten the existing bonnet by removing as much reinforceing webbing as possible, just don't get some bird to sprawl all over it for photographic perposes!
