Getting remap nxt saturday

Hi all,

the day is finally upon me MY REMAP IS BOOKED WOOOHOOO!!!!

I'm going to total vag on the 6th March to have my remap by
custom code. you may ask why custom code? it's quite simple for me as I'm getting a remap for more torque and bhp and custom code offer exactly that, I'm not saying I will get the claimed 270-275bhp but after reading through the posts i'm adament they will get it higher than any other mapping software, plus the price is a bonus .....

Since buying my lcr 04 4 months ago I knew a remap was coming and In turn have been a slave too this forum, I have read countless threads on ALL the mods/best gains/do's and dont's etc etc, So in preperation for my remap and picking custom code I have modded my car with:

Neuspeed p-flo induction kit
cold air feed
6 speed quick shifter (close second)
n249 bypass
samco T.I.P
forge 007p
boost and oil temp gauges
dog bone mount (best mod)

so as you can see I have spent alot of time on my car already (along with cut knuckles and greasy hands lol)and my wait is over I will post a thread once it has been done and let everyone know the difference........

Quickly squeeze in a forge front mount intercooler and a milltek turbo back e haust with decat and you'll get maximum power ;-)

Don't be disappointed if you don't make those figures, every car reacts differently to a remap! I have no idea where you read that CC will give you the most BHP & torque as that's just nonsense. Every remap is different in the way that it delivers the power (i.e. aggressive or progressive) but at Stage 1 level, they all aim for the same figure with is the maximum safe limit that a car with light modifications can handle.

FMIC and Exhaust are great mods for good gains but I dont want my car to look trevved up so I'm avoiding the FMIC. (for now)

I wont be dissapointed if it doesn't make 270bhp just gives me an excuse to get a full exhaust system. plus it's definately going to be alot more lively what ever it makes compared to now.

After reading loads of threads custom code have reached 270bhp more than any other map, have you had yours rolling roaded Jamjay? notice you went to AMD. I will post some pics of my car and graphs once it's been rolling roaded.

Mine made 260bhp, not the 270bhp that CC quote but then again I have 30lb/ft more torque than CC quote at nearly 300lb/ft. Like I say, each car takes to it differently, D.K on here made 275bhp with the same remap with a little less torque. See what you get on the day and judge it's performance by how it drives on the road, not the willy waving figures , use the dyno as a way to check that nothing is underperforming on your car more than anything else.

Where abouts in Norfolk are you from mate?

CC only have a mobile van tuner in our area so you'll have to stick it on different RR?

BLACK I didnt know that I may invest then, are they from Forge?

Custom code do not have any mobile tuners anymore! I asked why and the response was there is no call for it!? I'm in North Walsham 12m from Norwich, The closest CC place is Total Vag in Leighton Buzzard about 3hr drive, I don't mind the drive cos my car is rarely driven with all the rain about etc, only took it out twice in 2 months just sit's in my unit polished - ready to go, weather permitting.

total vag don't have a RR either I'm just getting it mapped there then taking it to Clive Atthowe in Norwich, He's knows his stuff about LCR's, he raced one exactly the same colour/year as mine it's on his website, he only uses Revo else I would go to him.

Yeah Clive used to have a Cupra R himself that he used for company demo car

I'm guessing you've got a 225bhp, although i'll doubt you will get 50bhp from a map it will still feel better to drive. The only reason i got 192bhp from my stage 2 map was because i started of with 173bhp from the factory, not bad for a tdi 150!!

Yeah I have a 225, daboy ur car looks clean I just got the alpine hu but one down from yours its niiiiiiiiice.

If I dont make 270 I will just keep spending money till I do although bhp is what I keep talking about Torque is the real prize to be had from a remap especially with a turbo car... we'll see anyways other owners have got it from a standard lcr so It's quite possible....plus I have a good starting point apart from the mods my car has FSSH no fault codes/boost leaks and just had it fully serviced including MAF for the remap although it isn't due for another 2500 miles.

I used to but I'm getting a bit old for that now, have been known to pop up on the odd sunday in the warmer weather tho.

I'm getting too old for it aswell, my mate goes up in his tegi so I went up with him one night last month, I was shocked how many cars were there (no LC or LCR's) even when it started to spit with rain everyone stayed the whole lot of car parking spaces in front of the pleasure beach were full!

I've seen a few people from the forum up there, more in the summer tho.

Only problem with the seafront is the stupid little prats who've just passed there tests doing burnouts in there mums micra's........kind of gives everyone a bad name.
