Rather than turning the thread into a guessing game, i will let on to what it is.

I had a heads up from a fellow member (Cheers Stu :)) back in November that an Ex-Rockingham Custom Cages roll cage from a Mk3 was going to be up for sale. A few PM's later revealed that it wouldn't be ready until Feb/March time but if i wanted it then it was mine. I'll be picking it up on the 7th and aim to have the rear hoop in for the BHP Show at Lydden in May. Still not sure what i'm going to do with the front half yet, as ideally i'd like it to go through the dash.

Telford ay it...
I was right then, I want one damm you :p

Good to see it's going in a car intended for track use, I would hate to see one sold to be used in a show car.

They will need to be grinded a bit to fit the rear turrets, look on my project thread of the photos and you see what I mean :)

Part 2 will be welded to the open sides of part 1 to make the box section.

Nice one on the cage mate.. Good to see that its been used in the way it was designed for.

Would love a cage in mine but cant justify it, hence why I bought a show cage instead.

Thanks Craig.

Spot on, thanks Dave. I did have a look back on your thread at how yours were made. Such a tidy install!

takes me back when I did mine, although I had a slightly different approach!

Apart from setting the car alight, the front feet plates where a different shape, and the backs where a bit of a pig to get right. If you want to keep the headlining the it'll be a tight squeeze

Haha! Might have to call in a favour from you if you fancy a bit of welding? For the moment i'd like to keep the headlining, just worried about it clearing the sunroof at the moment too.
