Have you plugged it into VAGCOM? Not just for error codes, but to do some logging

only faults im gettin is intervention load management and something about motor flaps for the aircon, nothing unusual. i will be honest i dont know how to do logging. my brother is stumped, so am i!! think were gonna put the old injectors and coolent temp sensor back in, other ones didnt make a difference and came from a scrappies, so i dont trust them that much.

Logging is pretty straightforward and should show up some faults. I've no idea how to read the logs but plenty people on here can.

What is the intervention load management fault related to? Never heard of that before.
I'd say you can discount the aircon flap one.
Do you know anyone else with the same engine? Try swapping your injectors and temp sensor for theirs for a week?

COnnect everything up, and I'm just going from memory here - in the engine diagnostic section, theres an option to log. Down near the bottom left. You choose the blocks you want to log ( a quick search on here should tell you which ones), and then it does the logs, saves them and you post them on here to get opinions.

I think you probably want to log requested airflow against actual, and something to do with EGTs for your problem, but I'm sure someone can direct you better in that way

Sounds like you have an electric issue of some kind... I would get it seen by an auto electrician,no way it should eat a coil pack that fast, there is something wrong there...
Was it a "new" coil pack you have put in?

Its a different cylinder, and from what I hear going through coilpacks like that is extremely common. They tell you not to replace them one at a time

we replaced coil 3 last time, this was coil 1, apparently common to go one after the other, lets hope 2 doesnt go soon, tht'll be anotherr £30

ur rite it wasnt the same one mate. common issue apparently

even in a diesel, you just fill it up and go again

you havent ran out of fuel in a diesel before then,i drive a diesel by day not good when you have to bleed an injector to release the air.

sorry to hear your luck is getting worse scott might be best to change the other two coilpacks together or change one and save for the other.
dont want your car running on two cylinders for too long or it could kill the cat or worse your head gasket.
