standard cupra internals ? and what boost ?

what are the standard rods etc in the cupra engines good for being needing uprating ??

and what sort if boost is the limit you would run as im gonna get mine mapped as running standard boost etc but iv only known fords before this and my fords rods were good for about 280 ish bhp standard and 25 psi us max to run on a standard engine so want to know what sorta boost i should go for without risking running the engine near its limits ?

also if iv got a k04 turbo with tt injectors maf etc with fmic , dv , exhuast and race cat does 192 bhp sound about right without a proper map ?

its been mapped in the past as iv got receipts but after the vagcom and being on the rollers nothing is coming up as wrong just boosting to like 12 and dropping off to hold 9

No, 192 sounds way too low. Even a bit low for a K03 with everything else standard.

my tuner told me with a remap should see about 240 ish + so why is it low ?

do a log off block 002 and 115 i have revo stage 2 on ko3 turbo with 1,5bar and 164gs to get 240bhp you have to be around 190-200gs

164x1.25=205 so think mine is over 200bhp

well im not 100% sure still yet if its a k04 we just going by the fact it doesnt spoll up too quickly and apparently the k03 does quickly ? its still low boost like like you said ur running 21 psi to get 240 im getting near on 200 at pretty much standard boost ?

heres the best kinda pics i can get ... i was happy with 192 at standard ish boost cause thought that was ok now uv all made me para again lol

and i know nothign about the n249 bypass or whatever but do i have it done in these pics lol

im still a tool with the cars at the moment lol

k03 or k04, doesnt matter, your internals will be fine still

the most from a k03s is 250 dyno lottery max, and the most from a K04 is 280 with similar torque to match

well i got 192 boosting to 11 and holding 9 psi on DD ? does that look like amk04 tho or cant really tell ? my mate said it doesnt look like a modifed actuator so could be k03 but he cant tell from the pics n will need to look underneath ??

looks to me a K03 as the inlet to the turbo flows down the right hand side of the block. A K04 inlet flows down the left hand side of the block (looking face onto the engine)

standard cupra is 156bhp. If its running 192, then this suggests a stg1 remap, so that is the right power output for a standard k03 with stg1 modifications

eh, 17ish bhp, what you talking about?

depends if its a k03 or k03s

K03 will see around 230bhp max

K03s will see around 240 absolute max (dyno lottery applies for the 250bhp figures)

you will only see 240 if you have all supporting mods i.e. exhaust, FMIC, induction kit etc etc

how do you know its running 9 psi, cos your boost gauge has told you?

get it vag com logged to confirm boost

either that or its a very happy DD rollers (which is rare)
