If your subframe is bent, the chassis will be bent too.

Answer - new subframe + big hydraulic kit and unbend the car to suit the new subframe

imo why bother repairing it if its that bad, i'd just break it and buy something else. unfortunately with how much they cost to buy now they just aren't worth the hassle.

It's when they slam their brakes on and stop at a junction, even though there is no other car for miles...some people just don't think further than their front bumper when it comes to making driving decisions.

But I've also been the recipient of this, someone coming on to a roundabout a bit eager so I delay my decision to pull away, next thing I know the woman behind has hit me. She was doing all of 3 miles an hour so we just swapped details and left it there. I was more bothered that it was raining and I was already late for work!

You'll have it fixed and running in no time.

Bloody Americans, the last thing we wanted to import from the US was their wonderful compensation claim culture. Insurance puts you back in the position you were before you suffered the loss, it's not an excuse for free money.

just got to say to yourself, your ok and not hurt, anything else can be repaired, think of the glass half full mate, maybe a chance to put a cupra bumper on

He'd just put a cupra bumper on!

Really feel for you James. Yours must've been one of the best, if not, the best looking 1.4 on the forum. As has been said a million times over, you're ok. Be glad of that. Anything else is fixable. Might be an opportunity for new cupra headlights ;)

What've you got planned now mate, you can't keep THAT one from us!
