Its a shame this has happened, I've not heard of wheel bearings going on the Ibiza to be honest not on a MK4.
I think you were just very unlucky AND your dealers are a bunch of monkeys.
And the car is a pup, the previous owner modded it, in hindsight i should'nt have bought it, its not as if i paid cheap money for it, so let the battle commence. Best bit is i am super fired up today due to another complaint i am dealing with for work. so....Player one to serve.
When they have fixed it they won't want it clogging up the car park they will call you and it's end of the month next week if it is anything like our the place we push everything sat from work in progress through to done next week.
I know the car & previous owner and that other than hardly seeing a soapy bucket it was well looked after!

I'm like you, have a friday car, I'm going for the balls of SEAT UK, as high as possible. I know there's a website out there with all the cheifs address's, emails and so on, also consider if you don't get what you want from the dealer go to what car, they have a helpdesk section on [email protected], i shouldnt think they'll want there name dragged through the mud.

Today after me starting my complaining, the dealer has agread to take the car back, i agread a small difference in the price as obviously i have done 5k in it since buying it, but i am going into drop the documents off and pick up my cheque and oibviously the bits in the car.
The delaer is saying it was the new CV joint they fitted to the car in october but they have also changed the Wheel bearing too as a precaution.
Not sure what i am going to be doing for a car now, i kind of want another one and am half tempted to go buy a cheap 5k example and pocket the rest of the cash. Or i may buy a cheap Tdi sport till i decided what to do.. Megane RS 175 diesel has crossed my mind too or an audi a3. and Astra 888 diesel.
But i would like to say the dealer has been very good in the end in reaching this agreament helped i would suspect by SEAT customer support getting involved too.

well update again, car is gone, got my money back . and looks like i am buying an EP3 Civic Type-R for 5k to hoon around in this year, yeah i know huge loss of torque over the cupra tdi and also less MPG, but truth is have'nt been using car half as much this year as i thoight i would, plus i honeslty think the cupra tdi made me a worse driver as i rode the torque everywhere and bullyed other road users in the tdi.
best bit is once i have sold my spares i have a spare 5k in the bank, which is probaby sensible, My first jap car

It's far easier to speed in a Tdi than in a VTEC - probably to do with the relaxed nature of the Tdi engine, speed in a VTEC = lots of RPM. I think i'm a better driver in this than i was in the Leon.

+1 for this!! going from a vvtl-i to a tdi is a massive difference in driving style, i had to really learn to not rev all the way round
