Looking for advice on 1.2 Ibiza

Planning on doing some work to my Ibiza, can you fit coilovers to the 1.2's or are they totally different from FR's and Cupra's?

Any help will be apreciated.

yes there the same. i went for AP coilovers on my cupra. there very good value and great quality, have a look in my sig for some pictures. these are the ones http://www.dpmperformance.co.uk/ap-...-14tdi-cupra-fr-18t-19tdi-20-0402-p-5008.html . quite a few people have weitec hicon GT coilovers, there made buy the same company who make AP coilovers. you want have any problems with either

Those coilovers look pretty good value.

Can you adjust the harshness of the ride, i.e. rebound/compression, that sort of thing?

seriously mate there great, i love mine. you can't adjust the ride quality but i think there a better ride than my old cupra suspension. there made by KW i believe and there known for very high quality products

Only thing is that once you have got over the "feel good" initial period, I'd think that as your car is way down on axle loads when compared with the Cupras, that the spring rating will cause a firmer ride than what you have on. Remember that VAG supplies maybe 4 or 5 "ranges" of road springs - based initially on axle loads - forgetting the ride height "thing" that coil overs avoid you worrying about.
