Thought i should throw a few pics up of my Leon after a spruce up over the weekend.
Had the car for a week now and loving every moment i get in it... it reminds me so much of the Octy vRS i had a few years ago, i loved that car but i think the Leon has impressed me even more. Its got the same performance, maybe even slightly more since the torque of the tdi is greater than the 190lb ft the vRS had, plus, i'm currently getting an average of around 40mpg (combined) and expect that to increase as the car gets a few more miles on it.
So, enough waffle... these are the cleaned but not waxed pics. This was done on Saturday afternoon in sub zero temps and as you might notice, there was ice forming on the car in some of the pics.
Saturday:
Wheels cleaned with Megs WB and various brushes / Megs MF mitt
Process was snow foam and Maxi Suds II via supers sprayer - left to dwell for 5 minutes
Wash TBM with BTBM and sheepskin mitts
Dried with SN towel
Tyres trimmed with CG's new look trim gel via tyre applicator.
Sunday:
Rinsed and dried
Wiped over with Megs LT
Waxed with RB's JE (as mentioned).
Interior wiped down with Megs APC (10:1)
Hoovered
Carpets, rear bench and front seat backs coated in 303 fabric guard.
Windows cleaned with screen wipes (finding these really useful at the moment).
Wax buffed off with DoDo Fantastic Fur MF's.
Then i spent a few hours yesterday applying a coat of wax (Rubbish Boys Juice Edition) and cleaned the interior including a spray of teflon sealant over the carpets, rear seats and front seat backs (i'll do the front seats when i have time to let the product dry before having to use the car again).
I didnt manage to get an overall finished shot of the exterior cause it started snowing 2 minutes after i buffed the wax off ! To be honest, it looked exactly like the above pics with a bit more gloss to the finish oh and the pics are off my phone and in dusk light
Once the weather picks up i'm going to get the car clayed and polished with DoDo LP then a couple of layers of SN. For now though i'm just happy to have it clean and a layer of protection on it.
Thanks for looking, Nige
