i just bought this cable from ebay

now can any one tell me the software i need to down load from ross tech,
im unsure what one to download. im running lcr 210
also i will in the future buy the full version, can i use this current cable?

Is there anyway of getting the full software? And any benefit.

I would like to test my MAF does anyone know how i can do that?

benefits of full license are huge mate, full logging capability, and all features available

im a complete newbie with this mate.. Sorry i should probably read on the vagcom bit, is there a way of telling if my D/V is leaking by it?

not via maf readings.

you want to log boost for that really, actual vs requested.

all vagcom sections are in blocks...

hook it up and have a look round the software mate, pretty self explanitory

you want engine01
measuring blocks08

then input the block you want to measure

usual blocks are 003, which is maf reading


log these together, 2 or 3 blocks at a time, have a look in vagcom section for which is best to log together or this link will help you

115 will give you boost, actual vs requested, this will tell you if you have a leak, as actual will be down on requested

020 will give you correction factors or timing pull... ideally these should be 0, but upto 6 is acceptible

118 gives intake temps
031 gives lambda values

when you do a run, start it at 2500k revs and log to the redline ideally in 4th, but 3rd is more practical

From your link the Vag com software is supplied! If not its 409.1 version for non ross tech cables

I have one of these cables but can only get it to work on windows XP not Vista or 7

Can you do all that with the lite version? You just have to log onto the first section?

I have the lite version and i can do so much with it, like clear codes and find out what codes but cant get auto scan etc to work as its not proper copy.
