Im stuck in abit of a dilemma now. Just started a new job with a nice salary increase. I have ALWAYS had an itch for an Evo. Started looking at a few last night and ive got a bigger itch for one now. Just feel so drawn towards a quick 4WD can with real tune ability. My dilemma is i have everything i need to take the car to KO3Hyrbid standard. Im wondering if i should sell up in 6-7 months or finish the project i started?

Love my Ibiza to bits, best car i have owned, it feels like a child i have raised and would feel really guilty selling it but i feel its time. Looking at Evo 7's but have my heart set on an Evo8 MR FQ320. Around the 12k budget. Would like to get around 4.5k for my ibiza as its in good condition with nice mods. Then sell the ko3 hybrid, injectors, air filter, gauges and various other bits to help fund the Evo and then just put the difference in myself.

Anyone have any thoughts?

I just dont know anymore. Fitting of bits will be 3-400 quid, mapping 600quid, thats almost 1k already. Then in an ideal world i'd need new ARB's front and back and new engine mounts, all that is the best part of 6-700. So thats around 1500quid that i could save and put towards an Evo. I wont be selling it anytime soon, probably in 6-7months if not longer. Im still happy with the performance of the car at ko3s level, just dont know how much happier id be with another 30-40bhp for a 1500quid outlay :confused::help::think:

Don't sell up,finish her off mate! You will be surprised how much 30-40bhp will keep you happy.
And you spent lots on your car. Evo's are nice cars, but i think you would have more fun in your Ibiza once Hybrid ed.

im always looking at this thread as theres always quite frequent updates and its a really nice car.
i say finish what you have started that way you may not feel the need for a new car with its new power it will recieve.
Thanks Cupral al, i just think when all is done its still a FWD car and thats always going to limit its potential.
i know how you feel mate always wanted somthing 4x4 like a nice scooby love the flat 4 sound aswell. maybe in time...
I think you fall into the group of Evo or Scooby lovers. I like the Scoobies but thery are too common IMO, just have a soft spot for Evo's

Still a fair bit of money to be spent before i finish her, just think that money could be used for saving instead. Im sure if i got the hybrid done id be happy with it, but for how long?
do it mate evo would be awesome on the road
I know, road going rally car, starting to dream about one already
I am in exactly the same situation. Although I haven't bought my turbo yet... I have everything else.

I've been considering an Evo, Supra or a 200SX or something. I love jap cars, but not sure what to do with the Ibiza in the mean time...
Yeh your right. If i sell the hybrid turbo i can make my money back, still in the box unused so dont fancy losing money on a new iteam. Always been a fan of jap cars aswell, and a 4wheel security with big power is a massive appeal!

I do love it, great little car, easy to mod, quick with it being so light, reliable and can return good mpg if driven well. Could just be time to get a big toy though in a while

love this thread mate, always a good read. hmmmm well no one can make your mind up for you.......
Thanks for the nice comments mate, i'll still have it in 6-7months time, just thinking to the future.
Give us a PM as welll bud as I would be interested maybe...
PM'd mate;)
evo 6 sexy car evo 7,8,9,10 not like them.driven a evo6 tme with 340whp fast car and funny to drive:whistle:
I like the 6's too, but with the 7&8's they have alot more tech which i like, like gravel, tarmac and snow modes along with AYC and ACD which really make the car handle like its on rails. From the Evo 7 onwards they look like they arent on as many steroids as the 6's and previous one which i like. Each to their own though i guess. They are sooo tuneable aswell, can get high 300's woth relatively "basic" mods too.
