I want to install a boost gauge on the Cupra but instead of showing it off I want to hide it in either the ashtray (if possible) or the glovebox...

Anyone done this?

It's a sleeper hence why want it hidden away. ;)

Doubt you could do it in the ashtray; my radar/laser detector sits in there, but only just, and it is tiny! Glovebox would be doable, create a plate in the CD change slot and you could put 3 - 4 52mm gauges there?

why would you want it in the glovebox? you wouldn't be able to see it.

Would be to dangerous staring across to the glovebox while your on boost.

Ahh. I see.

could you run a hose from the FPR and run it through into the cabin discretely around the area where the slot for the manual is. You'd have to blank it off when not using it but you could use it for checking boost when needed.

The gauge wouldn't need wiring either.

Just a thought.

there is plenty of space on the drivers side, lower down on the dash for you to attach a gauge pod - its hidden from view and only you'd see it but then it would become a bit dangerous...

Needs to be easily read by either myself or a passenger mate...

Used to have mine in the ashtray on my old car :)

what about below glovebox on a little shelf there , could wire it seperatley to a switch , so lights only come on when you need em too , plus if you get the electical smoked face ones like swoosh i think they called it will be dark

that would be where i woud aim at and have them directed to you , as the passenger seat could be slid back and not so dangerous then :)

job done

what about in the centre console with an extra long pice of tubing so it (gauge) can be pulled out to view and neatly tucked away so its hidden, if there's enough space that it.
