Bright and early on Friday (22nd) morning the driver from Listers called to say he was on route to my office and would be waiting for me when i got there.
So, 09:00 and there it is, my brand spanking new Nayara Blue FR tdi.
I must admit that i've only ever seen the FR in this colour in a show room and i really do like the colour but in natural day light its much much better
I'll get some pics up later this week when the weather pics up a bit but for now the colour is the same as the virtual pic in my avatar.
Anyway, did a few miles in it over the weekend with the family on board and we're all loving it. My eldest daughter (4yrs) giggles her head off when i put my foot down a bit (still within legal speeds i might add) and my youngest daughter (2yrs) finds sleeping in the back very easy
I havent had chance to give it some beans yet or push the handling but to be totally honest, i havent felt the need to yet. Its just nice knowing that if i need to, i have the ability to press on with ease !
I'm very impressed with the build quality and fit n finish of every aspect of the car and am loving the Seat Media and Convience pack options i went for.
The ride on the standard 17's is fine, stiffer than the Mondeo i moved from but not too hard, more a nice reassuring stance and composure at any of the speeds i have travelled at. There is a bit more road noise than i had in the Ford but nothing that distracts from the pleasure of driving the car. Not sure what others are fitted with but mine has the Bridgestone Potenza RExxxx (forgot the numbers).
The only thing that has caught me out so far is the driving lamps which come on when you are moving the car at low speeds, its a very clever feature as it illuminates the area directly infront of the car when your trying to park but i've noticed they also come on when driving in first gear at low speeds and turning the wheel... not a bad thing but it must look odd to other road users !
Only question i have is around driving styles and speeds that should be considered when running the car in. Is there a preferred number of miles that should be covered before the car is really given a good blast or should i just drive it normally ?
