Hiya everyone .
For those that didn't see my 'newbie' thread, im Kirst!
Used to drive a Fiesta Mk4 (N reg), and just before christmas this year decided i needed to upgrade to something nice.
I looked around at a variety of cars, and in the end stumbled across Seat. I like the Ibiza but find them quite small inside, and know a few people with them so in the end i landed up with a Leon. The new love of my life.
I couldn't afford a cupra, as much as i'd love one the fuel and insurance etc just seemed too innapropriate at the moment, so i got a 51 reg Leon 1.6S. Surprisingly enough, the insurance for this is £200 cheaper than my old Fiesta - Bonus!
I picked the car up on the 19th December, and i'll let the pic's do the rest of the talking. They were taken just after i got it home.
Sorry about the amount of pic's i have posted, but couldn't decide which ones.
When i bought the car the garage done a few things at my request to be included in the price, these included:
Service
MOT
Cambelt and Waterpump
New wing mirror (this was cracked on the housing on the back)
Respray of part of the front bumper (there were a few scratches)
Respay of bonnet (two 5p sized pieces of lacquer peeling).
These were all done before i picked the car up. I also got a wodge of service history and most of the stamps in the book.
A few days after i had the car home, it snowed heavily again, and my poor little car got stuck at my work for 3 days due to it being snowed in.
There was also a chip of paintwork missing from the opposite side of the front bumper (about the size of a 10p coin) to what they had already sprayed. So i was going to rebook the car in at a later date for them to sort out under warranty.
Around 1 week after having the car the emissions light came on... So on Tuesday night i dropped the car off at the garage i bought it from to get a few niggly bits sorted out (i wanted to attempt them myself but while it's under warranty it's best to make the most of it!)
The car is at the garage now and they are sorting out:
The emissions light (they are taking it to the seat dealer).
The paint chip on front bumper.
The cup holder (the spring is broken but they may as well fix that too!).
The heater dash control panel bulb. (Doesn't illuminate - presuming it's just a case of changing the bulb).
I got a peugeot 107 courtesy car while it's being fixed, and i can officially say they are nasty to drive!! I drove it home, parked it up, and that is where it's staying until the garage call me to pick my baby up!!
Anyway, cheers for reading. I didn't mean to write such an essay !!
