Is painting my alloys my self a stupid idea? i really dont know whats involved, and i can just see it been a mine field :/ thanks

and if you have access to a compressor and gun you could get good results as well.

i've sprayed with rattle cans and spray gun and the results are far better using proper equipment.

Thanks just a quick couple of questions, did you get all the paints, primers and lacquer from the BodyShop warehouse?? and are those audi wheels in satin black? thanks

Yes and yes.....and I'm currently doing another set of those Audi wheels in silver [2 are finished] and a set of TT Comps in satin black [1 is finished]

ive just read thtough it all it great detail, but im a little confused on the first bit :L do i need to get my whole wheel down to bare aluminium, or can i just put the primer ontop of the current finish on my alloy(which is just a standard alloy). Thanks

Only bare alloy if your applying filler or have corrosion.

I'm tempted to do mine too as I can get them done over a weekend, without dropping the car or wheels off anywhere.

I did some vts alloys with rattle cans they came out well but not sure about doing the LCR's - its just taking the plunge and hopefully not cocking them up.

They did chip quite easily though but that's probably down to my lack of skill.

pass..... not sure of the colour code.... just picked it and they mixed it for me.
