Evening all!

Cars only holding 10 psi boost ('tis standard). Got hold of a compressor to test for leaks, cocked a bung up for first intercooler pipe. In went all of what me little compressors had, and discovered a hissing coming from under inlet manifold. Took the front cover bit off and bracket but couldnt for the life of me find this leak! Its not the two on the left, its one int middle (Y peice). Iv come across pictures of this pipe but cannie find em after a few hours of searching. Any help?

sounds like the same problem i have roughly in-line with the dipstick behind the metal bracket is 2 vacuum pipes the one on the right on my car has split and leaking i went to dealers they told me i have to buy a kit which includes a few pipes and some sort of valve/pump and the small pipe is not available on its own they quoted me £52 + vat :wtf: so far Ive been unable to source a suitable pipe to replace broken piece.

Hi mate, i did. After figuring out it wasn't in the cooling circuit, i removed the larger pipe of the three under the manifold and stuck me air gun down that n gently sprayed. It still hissed, so pulled me trigger abit more and a bit of the plastic Y peice came appart. So i need a new one. Iv also tested the two pipes that the Y splits into and nothing, no leaks! It looks like a non return valve. Ordered a new one using part number 058 133 753 B, but has been superseeded to D! I should have it tonight, so weather dependant, will let you know.

Interesting; did you have oily residue all over the y-piece too?

Yes mate, i did! The non return bit goes upto the bottom of the breather if i remember correctly. It had separated from the body of the Y peice, its asif its just a push fit. Not a snap or break.

Ah right; I have oily crud all over those pipes; but have taking them all off, replaced what I can with silicon hose and see how I get on!

Do you mean the plastic pipe that goes to the crank case breather pipe, which comes from the right hand side of the crank case. Mine is only boosting to 10 psi, doesn't spike. Found that this pipe had snapped but there not enough pipe left to connect it back up.

Have you sorted that pipe you was having trouble with, and are you boosting better now

Its not actually the crank case pipe, but it is conected to it. On the below pipe, the inlet comes from the bottom of inlet manifold and splits twice. One goes to a 'U' bend pipe and goes off to the left hand side and the other goes to the plastic piping on the outside of the crank case.
This is the bugger. And no, i havent recieved the new one yet.

:DFinally sorted the pipe it was the right hand one of the 2 in the centre of monifold, after stealer's told me i need a kit £60 ish with vat i done loads of searching finally found a part number 06A103221BK £15.09, changed it today and what a difference its made to performance no holding back when turbo cuts in idle smoother. just hopping its sorted the excessive fuel consumption and erratic idle on cold mornings.
