bloody hell dave, that looks like a good place to get it mapped, the cars they pictured equate to more then £6-8million, and produce some stupid amounts, that accuracy looks awesome too!

this will be a beast :)

Well went down there yesterday got 30mins from the roller and thought I better check my email and I had one off him saying the car is at his workshop, an hours drive away again lol.

He had a few problems on the rollers, the coilpack was cracked??? And causing a misfire so he had a spare with him and changed it, then towards the end of mapping the inner cv joint on the driveshift was starting to make a noise and he could seen it bouncing up and down on the rollers. This also showed up on the graph so he started it untill he's changed it.

Commented on the front engine mount seems worn so he's making me up a soild front mount and the exhuast rattles on the rear beam and melted my bumper slighly so thats something else he is going to sort!

Anyway more important.... PICS!!

WTF is your car doing all the way over this neck of the woods?1 its a long way from home for you!

My Cordoba got mapped there a few years ago, Steve Greenald knows his stuff.

Scary bit was looking at the print out of the mapping session, on a completly standard bottom end it was taken to the region of 8.5k on the revs:blink:

Well there isn't many tuners by me for this sort of work, Stealth Racing wouldn't reply to me and when I rung them before he told me he's not doing throttle bodies no more because his neighbours are complaining of the noise. New owners of TSR never did this to the ABF, even at first they said they did???? And then I came across Saxon Motorsport and after a chat, lots of emails and a vist I was pleased with the place.

Did you find the track n road rollers run less than others?

thanks for the comments guys!

oh and i think he's on about having the limiter at 8k with a soft limiter first. Im worry about the flywheel bolts now, it's lighten to half the weight and i used new oem bolts torqued right up!

Your car really really is smart mate and the engine and install is absolutely fantastic.

I have to agree with Crezz, IMO this is the best Mk2 on the site. Althought Roly's and Martins Gti 20v T are up there aswell.

Hopefully you can make it to the national meet because I will come just to see and hear your car in the flesh!!

Looking good very good there![B)]

Couple of comments & questions for you....

What trumpet sizes you using in that airbox? and the space between that & the inside face of box itself?

Can't quite see how they've done your throttle mechanism? it looks a tad awkward compaired to Bill badgers throttle mech?

I would NOT use a solid front mount, vibration is the enemy, get another VT race spec one

I would suggest the coilpack to me relocated off the engine, again - vibration

I had large oilcooler around that size and struggled to get any decent oil temp out of it and on the run would barely go above 80c ended up blanking the lower grill with gaffer tape to block airflow til I fitted a smaller cooler.

I'll be straight up and say I didn't get a finished article I totally happy about from the mapping session(s) for one reason or another although thats not to there discredit nor can compair them to other rollers.

Stealth was on my list to do it but found somewhere alot closer!

#edit# My flywheel is bolted with ARP's

Like Stu says - IMO leave solid mounts well alone on a road car - the vibration will loosen all the nuts and bolts and destroy electrical components

And as for revs.....I wouldn't go to 8 on hydraulic lifters if I were you.....7700 is enough

That is certainly an interesting install - you havn't given us power and torque figs though.....cummon, spill the beans
