Ibiza's are better suited to top mount fitment mani as the engine mount is on the back of the block rather than the side like the Leons.

If the turbo was mounted the other way round it could possibly fit a rhd car but as it is in the pic, the comp housing would hit the servo and you would not be able to get a hose on.

Thats T-3 flange. Do they do T-2?

So you don't think it will fit RHD? In this pic it looks like there is enough room to get something like a 3" cobra-head hose onto the turbo inlet:

Ah right, ok. I know Bill has links with FFE but that's no use to me, too far away. FFE said that they would supply a kit, if it fits then you pay for it, if it doesn't just send it back, and pay nothing or they will modify it so it does fit free of charge. Some company eh!

its a shame its mounted that way round.. clearance for servo and power steering pipes, and a/c pipes run past there on several of our rhd vag models

mk4 platform engine mounted only also, as the rear motor mount sits where that comp housing sits.. no go for ibiza's mk3 thats for sure

who will be the first to give it a punt in the uk i wonder

OK, I'm really not sure what to do?

If I sell lots of parts I'll probably have enough to go for a budget big turbo kit and get myself 350-370bhp ........... but is it worth doing? Will I just be getting myself less traction and more trouble? I'd have to sell stuff like the INA baffled sump, WMI kit, turbo, mani, DP, maybe even the SEM manifold to get a bigger turbo kit.

317bhp feels pretty good, good traction too .......................... should I do it or just leave it as it is and enjoy it????????????

317 tractable bhp doesn't seem to be breaking anything at the moment...

Option b) save up the money as if you were going to BT it, and leave it until your current setup breaks? then spend it on the setup you want.

I know that's not the fun way of doing it though

That's what I mean - sounds daft to sell all this just to get more power and less traction, but it's a way of doing it. You're right Mork, maybe I should just rag/enjoy this turbo until it breaks (maybe it won't!) then upgrade. The quandry is if I sold off parts I could do it now, patience is not one of my strongest virtues!

It's not crazy logic Bill, quite sensible and normal really, things like baffled sumps, water injection, etc. are not essential, plus most people sell off parts in order to upgrade. My question is - is it worth it? :headhurt:

Live with what you've got Rob - why have your car off the road trying a kit that might not fit.

Let someone else take the pain while you enjoy yuors for while - you deserve it! Spend the money on track days.

Don't sell stuff that makes more power just sell the turbo and bits that get removed when getting a bigger one no point selling the wmi sem etc and you don't have to use the throttle as an on of switch you could have 550+bhp and still drive it nice . Save up sure it won't take that long

Yep, I think you're right, the more I sit and think about it the more I think I'll leave it as it is and just enjoy it and use it, I like it the way it is right now. I'll start putting money away for a BT kit further down the line.

Are you running the Unos MBC yet Rob, looking at your previous logs your missing out on a lot of mid range torque that you can now use with confidence with your uprated rods. You want to be peaking to the limit of the map sensor.
