i don't think that the autoleads gives a switched live from the loom, on my Golf I had to run a live and switched live to the battery and light switch

hmm... so i'd be better off just going for the connects 2 one like the OP has? only issue i have there is i dont have steering wheel controls so would be a waste really.

I think I originally bought the Autoleads connector but had issues with it so ended up sending it back and getting the Connects2 one then everything just worked! :)

they arent useless, they do these adapters so you can just take a feed for the ignition off another accessory, its entirely down to the user how they do it,if your really lazy you could just attach the ignition to the permanent and just turn on and off via the radio

s2ttb you need both, the first bit generates ignition, speed pulse, parking brake, reverse signal, illumination, etc and the 2nd is the vehicle specific part, this is more for those with satnav/dvd/etc
if your not bothered buy pc2-75-4 or the connects 2 equivalent then the igni-gen and wire that in :)

got the pc2-75-4 as this is what the audio place said i only needed. *******s!

tried the constant feed option, however the headunit goes into a standby when u switch it off so its constatly got the buttons lit up as its getting a feed. gonna wire it to the cigy lighter i think..seems the easiest option.

****ing canbus :)

In case ayone is looking for an Alpine interrupt box there is one on ebay currently selling for £9.99 with 3 days to go.

ALPINE NVE-K200 AI-INTERRUPT BOX Item 130364264684

I bought one last week from same person for £39 with a buy it now as I couldn't wait for the end of this auction! Quick turn around with next day delivery.

I followed the OP instructions and now my Apline IDA-X100 is integrated with the factory fitted bluetooth. Only problem I came across was the lack of space behind the head unit for all the wires. Ran out of time last weekend so it is currently sitting 0.5cm proud of the dash!

Will try and relocate the cables above and to the left behind the a/c controls this weekend.

Yeh there isn't much space there with all the connectors and feeds going all over the place! I ended up taking all the heater parts out of the top and routing everything up behind there. My interrupt box and sat nav aerial are all positioned up there! :)

some questions

Hi there,
I'm Steffen from Stuttgart Germany and I want to ask you some questions about the cooperation between the Headunit, the integrated FSE and your steering wheel.

1:
So if you change the headunit and adapt it via a CAN BUS adapter to the car you adapt also the remote keys from the steering wheel to your new headunit! correct?
--> this is the cause why your buttons like higher and lower volume, next and previous title etc. are working...

2:
But the normal CAN BUS Adapter also tries to adapt the rest of the remote keys on your steering wheel to your new headunit! correct?
--> so in my opinion your BT FSE keys on steering wheel should be connected via CAN BUS adapter to your new headunit and not any further to your old BT FSE device unter the seat?

3:
I ask all these questions because I'm thinking about to change my standart CD3 radio to an ZENEC NC2010. My whish is to have a perfect symbiose between my built in FSE and the Zenec Parrot FSE in the big touchscreen, but I've heard that the CAN BUS Adapter connects the steering wheel FSE buttons to the headunit and then it is not longer available to use the old built in FSE. Instead you have to use the ne Parrot FSE! For sure the Parrot FSE have more options etc. but to use this one from the headunit you have to set up a new microphone in the car etc and this is to much work i think.

Any ideas how it is possible to connect the parrot fse with the built in microphone? Is it the same way you did with the only ifference that you use the old FSE with yout steering wheel and I have to use the new FSE via CAN BUS Adapter ?

I'm a little bit confused with this thing

The CANBUS links to the screen beside your fuel gauge but you need a separate adaptor to work the steering wheel controls. I bought a Connects2 CANBUS adaptor and it came with a separate box to control the steering wheel - a headunit specific patch cable £4 plugged into this box to link steering wheel buttons to the headunit.

The bluetooth phone buttons on the wheel connect to the factory fit bluetooth unit under the drivers seat and is totally independant of the audio controls - the wiring is terminated in the additional blue or green connector (can't remember which one at the moment) that fits into the bottom of the CANBUS adaptor - the 2 wires (black and white) sends the phone audio to the car speakers via the headunit.
The blue and green connectors can be removed from the CANBUS as the wiring connectors will only work with the factory headunit - Unless of course the ZENEC has exactly the same connectors as the original headunit - not sure

You can continue to use you factory fit Bluetooth system as long as you can get the audio into the new headunit (the black and white wires mentioned above) - At worst you will have to wire these into an AUX port and select AUX on the head unit when a call comes in. I have used an Alpine headunit with the Alpine interrupt box as shown at the start of this thread and it automatically mutes radio/pauses ipod/CD and plays voice through the car speakers. All steering wheel controls continue to work as normal before I changed the headunit.
I'm a little bit confused with this thing

Hope I have been some help and not confused the matter further

Ok I understood. So it is not really possible to get the built in BT FSE (in the FIS LCD) totally combined with the included parrot FSE from the radio. I have to decide which BT FSE i want to use and to my decission i have to connect the steering wheel to.

mmhh.

Is it possible to use the Seat built in microphone with the parrot fse from the Zenec? Because I don't want to built in a new microphone because there is one built in from the originally one.

you need to splice into the mic feed and fit whatever connector is on your zenec for the mic-usually 3.5mm jack then route up to your headunit

Hi, I finally found a right fascia but the 'U' nuts I found does not seem to fit at all on my ride. I bought 7mm and they were way too big, found 6mm and still too big. Cant post pics now cos am a newbie but am frustrated cos I can't hold my unit in place.

Also, the useless VWSA (I am in South Africa) did not order the 10 clips 3B0867190 although I gave them the part no. with the order. I guess those clips are to hold the Fascia in place? Since mine is still not in place although well-fit... Please advice.

Hi all

i am planning on fitting my ida-x305 to my mk2 leon. Looking at pictures on the net the alpine patch lead seems to have different connector to the steering wheel control input on the head-unit.

The patch lead seems to have a 3.5mm jack style connector, whereas the head unit has 2 brown leads with male bullet connectors (REM01 & REM02) and a black female one (SWRC g-out).

Could someone please confirm that a connects 2 can-bus adapter, and alpine patch lead will connect to the back of the x305, and the steering wheel controls will work properly?

Many thanks.

Hi everyone

i got an NVE-k200 for xmas and have gone to fit it today. i have a ida-x305 headunit, and have succesfully soldered an rca cable to the bluetooth output wires (i have tested these in one of the rca inputs in the back of the unit and it works fine). However, i cannot get the interupt to kick in.

Please can anyone let me know where i might be going wrong, or what needs connecting to what

i have connected the alpine (cd changer type) lead to the back of the headunit, and to the left hand side of the interrupt (marked II). The RCA has been plugged into the top of the box as pictured in this thread. What do i do with the pink wire and the two connectors on the ends?? Is this where iam going wrong?

Also, what settings do i need to change on the headunit (if any)?

Many thanks for any help i get.

Regards
