There was 2 at the dealer i got mine from, the first time i went there they only had the one i now own due to the other being mot'd, but when they had both of them there i went back looked round them both and even though my one has more miles on and is about 6 months older it was the cleaner one of the two and imo the better colour, so i took it for a test drive then got it a few days later :D but i suppose technicly it was the first one i saw and before that i had a 2001 1.6 16v astra

Bought the first one I saw. I seemed tidy although I managed to miss two nasty marks on the bodywork. But after knocking the guy down it was about £700 cheaper than any others i'd seen and up until then I didn't think I would be able to get a Cupra.

No service history though

I bought the first one I saw but then I had got a Mk4 Golf at the time, so similar platform and knew what I was looking for etc.

I did spend weeks scouring the adverts beforehand and carefully selected the one I went to see - travelled a way to see it too.

I bought the 3rd, or should I say swapped lol

Previous car Mondeo ST220, that I had to get rid of when my wife went on maternity leave. I know people will hate this, but I really loved that car :ban:

I originally bought a Corolla T-Sport to run round in but had loads of problems with it. Valve stem seals, cylinder head, new valves etc etc (Paid for by the garage I bought it from) But the car was never right, in the 3 months I had it. The Garage had it 2 of them

Saw my cupra, 60k on the clock, full service, good nick apart from a few scracthes here and there. Asked the guy about part ex and he offered a striaght swap, happy days [B)]

The book price on the T-Sport was more than the Cupra, but with all the problems Id had with it and the good price I got it for, with a swap I was making out of the deal :D

Nope, i bought the 2nd one travelled 100 miles or so but the first one i spotted it had a bad paint job on the back end and stupid mods on the engine which made it sound like a jap car! Before it was an A3 1.9TDi 130 BHP! : )

I brought the second one i looked at as the first one was an ovni one with the front end totally different yellow to the rest of the car and the Chassis rail bent to f**k, and that was a "second hand dealer". Was so shocked so went to look at Scoobys at a dealer down and he said he had the car that i brought took it for a spin and fell in love.

Bought the first LCR I saw...missed out on spotting a couple of minor common faults but otherwise very happy! And it was an upgrade from... a 1.8 Vauxhall Cavalier, lol.. Having direct steering rather than a rudder is quite nice!

I viewed three and went back for the second one always wanted red or silver so was well pleased to find a well priced well maintained red one! The first one was utter shite! for the money!

Yep, bought the first one that I saw, first time, went for a bit of a drive, then second, went with the wife and a shed load of cash to surprise him, which is when I got it. There was a bit up with the bodywork, alignment etc that I asked about here (and still waiting to afford to get fixed) but he was very forthcoming about what was maybe not right with it - all cosmetic.

There wasnt much paperwork, but he pointed me to TTS Roadsports, where he has had it serviced since he had it, and after calling them, they confirmed what he had done - cambelt/pumps were the main thing.

Despite the slight bodywork issues, there doesnt seem to have been anything major wrong with it (touch wood) and the fact that the guy was pretty genuine helped. Still think that in my price range this was the best option. Had emailed and spoke to a few people on autotrader/pistonhead ads, but one failed its AS data check and the other was the one ShaunnyBoy bought - theres no chance I could attempt what hes been doing to sort it out.

Only my second car, a big step up from a 1.4 Ibiza Chill :)
