hi tommy, question ref your sig. what are you getting with the winter pack if you dont mind me asking?
cheers
chris

in the winter pack you get headlight washers, heated washer jets and heated seats. i ordered mine with this pack, but a good few weeks after i looked on the SEAT website and to my shock it now says that the heated seats arent available on the Cupra model. :( little peeved but its a bit too late to change it now !! maybe a little bit too much money for what you get but im not too bothered !!

Ive ordered my Leon Emocion TDI in Crono Yellow end of Sept and its being built this week apparently. Dealer thinks delivery will be this month but im a little sceptical. Took advantage of the scrappage deal at the time so with the price increase since ordering (£1000) ive saved just over £5000 as the scrappage offer was very generous (£4140). My scrappage trade in is still perfectly driveable so happy to wait. To be honest id rather wait longer and take advantage of the new 2010 reg. It will probably only be a month away by the time my new one arrives.
Never mind im happy whatever. surprisingly there were not many optional extras to choose from on the Emocion compared to the other editions in the Leon range. I went for bluetooth and usb aux but the aux is standard now anyway. Wished id gone for the hill hold option now but was too late by the time I realised it could be useful.

Just saw this thread. We ordered a Leon S Emocion 1.6 through the scrappage scheme at the end of August if I remember rightly - Black Magic metallic paint, Bluetooth pack. It was delivered Dec 18th, almost three weeks later than promised. However the 2010 build had been rolled out a week before it was built so we ended up getting the Aux/USB for nothing, which made up for the delay.

As has been noted above the saving of £4000 is around £5000 once you factor in the recent price increase and the increase in VAT. What a deal! My only slight regret is that they didn't offer this incentive on the 1.4TSI, after all the government were trying to promote more efficient cars. We only do about 8000 miles per year so it wasn't worth going for the diesel on balance and I would have enjoyed another 25 horses!

The BT is great. I have an HTC Hero and it will happily play music through the USB connection while paired with the BT, when a call comes in, it just damps the music and afterwards picks up where it left off - love it! :funk:

I went for the Bluetooth and USB options. Had not realised the USB is now standard. Will be raising that with the dealer as surprisingly they haven't voluntered that piece of information!

Opted against the winter pack, which I think was pretty much the only option.

It does at least seem that are waiting times are across the board though- it isn't just me!

I would! I'm betting the dealer wouldn't even have mentioned it if I hadn't remarked on it when I got the keys (Arnold Clark in Edinburgh). He even refused to chuck in a set of mats at the end of the day which I thought was poor, eventually he offered them at 'cost price' - £40?!

Don't think they're getting much out of the scrappage scheme!

I noticed the USB/AUX change when browsing the SEAT website in Early November. I raised this with my dealer and yes , Im not sure he would have volunteerd the info that quickly. He seemed quite surprised that I noticed, in fact I got the feeling he wasnt aware but didnt want to sound stupid!
Oh yes, I tried the free mats trick whilst I was pretending to decide on whether to go for the deal (I nearly bit his arm off at such a good deal to be honest) but to no avail. I get the feeling they dont make much out of this particular deal no!lol

Rang the dealer yesterday to check for a build date for the the 2 FR170's we ordered on the 31st October, he said nothing was showing on the system at the moment and to ring back at the end of January.

Got a phone call last night saying that both vehicles had just turned up on the transporter.:D

Got to wait until 1st of March due to current leasing contract. :(

Had an update on my car today, it's on a boat! :funk:

Due into the dealers the middle of next week, they said they need a couple of days to prep it and then if all goes to plan, and it arrives on time, I can collect it on the 16th :)

NINJA...Congrats on yours!

Im hoping mine is delayed as its getting frustratingly close to the new Reg and would prefer to have a 2010 plate. I mentioned this to the dealer but he said he will do what he can but there maybe some issues with VAT if registered in March!?

Cheers dude :)

With regard to the new reg, I had a decision to make with mine. According to the dealer, SEAT refund them the 2.5% with the VAT freeze, but you have to take the car "within a reasonable time" of its arrival.

This meant that I could probably take it on the 1st of March, but I would have to pay the extra VAT, which worked out at about £420. When you stack this up against the difference it will make to the resale value of the car, it works out better to have it on a '59' plate.

Paying out £420 to add £250-£300 to the resale value of the car doesn't stack up, plus I get it sooner :)

Yes thats right..its already in the equation so will see what the dealer says when we have a delivery date. I have a private plate thats going on it anyway so the pose factor is irrelevant lol.
Definately stupid idea to pay the VAT for a gain that might not even be a gain in the end anyway!

Not really on topic, but worth mentioning, is that new SEATs come with 2 years breakdown cover. Thought I'd ask yesterday before I renewed my RAC cover, glad I did :)
