Engine service and seats

Howdy again.

I was on here a few days ago prattling on about the engine choice I'm after for my up and coming Leon. - Well, I'm probably going to go for the 2 litre diesel version. Can anyone tell me when the big evil 'cambelty' type of services are due on it? - I don't want to pick up what looks like a bargain only to have to spend a fortune on a big service. Thank you :)

And...

I notice many of the 2.0 diesel Leons have sports seats. Now, I have use of a BMW 1 series which also has sports seats and after about half an hour behind the wheel the sides of the seat dig into my kidneys and by the time I've been any distance I feel like I have had a good kicking. Now, I'm not the thinnest of people, but my much more trim and athletic brother has the same problem in it. So, to cut to the chase (which I should have done 5 mins ago) how are the sports seats? - Do they make you feel like you are gonna be peeing blood after driving on a long haul, or are they like some large comfortable hand, cradling your every muscle? - I'm gonna do a test drive, but this of course won't give me enough info for long drives.

Ha ha... I go on like an old git. I'm still in my 20s but if I woke up tomorrow to find out I was 80, I think I would actually be glad.

the other car I drive is a 1er and I'm glad we didn't get it with the sport seats (the sort that inflate and deflate) I found them really unbearable on the test drive.

The sport seats on my Leon (06 Reference Sport 2.0 TDI) are in comparison fantastic - a 6 and a half hour journey to Manchester recently proved just how good they really are, no aches or pains at all....

My cambelt on my 06 plate 2.0TDI is due at 80,000 miles which for me is in a couple of months time.

Here is another thread asking about cam belts http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=248108

As for the seats i've never felt like i've been punched in the kidneys after a long stint. But then again i'm not exactly what you called a big lad....

Note the cambelt is 80k (or 60k depending on where you look!) OR 4 years, whichever comes soonest.
