That does look funny, but I think once you've got the tyres on and it's back down on terra firma you should be okay.

I wouldn't say that mine stick out that much, but I guess they must do!

You shouldn't have any rubbing issues with 15's in back and no lowerage, but I bet if you keep coming on here you'll end up with coilies ;)

Okay, so I've had a pretty major setback to my rear light plans today (see this thread here), and to top it off I got an email from the carbon mirror man saying that he's giving me a refund and creating a new auction for me.

Apparently these ones are better quality, and made with "a new special clear varnish type"

Sounds good, but I'm not holding my breath to be honest. Im pretty depressed, so I think I'm going to have to buy a Neuspeed 28mm rear ARB to cheer myself up...

I just realised that including petrol I've spent £320 on the car today

here's what I have to show for it:

Neuspeed 28mm Rear ARB on the way from Awesome
A full tank of premium (of course)
Full set of white LED lights for the interior and the rear numberplate.
Some waterproof siliconey gluey stuff for my LED rear lights (the project is now going quite well and WILL work if it kills me).

I feel a bit guilty for pissing away all this cash, but i think it will be well worth it.

Looks great (especially in red as the Awesome listing says it's black for some reason and shows a red picture), but I'm a bit concerned about how bloody heavy it is! I knew it would be a substantial item, but it's way heavier than I expected. Surely the car will now be slower in a straight line, it definitely weighs more than my spare or my back seats!

Can't wait to get it fitted, but it's a bit cold out there if you ask me. Not only that but I dont think I'll be hammering it around any corners with about 6 inches of snow under the car!

EDIT: no prizes for guessing which part of my anatomy features in the last shot... ;)

Just as I finished posting that, I got some more bits through the door!

I've now got 5 of the 7 LED bulbs I ordered. These will cover the rear numberplate lights, the main front interior light and the two front driver/passenger lights. I'm just waiting for the rear passenger lights now.

Martin, a wee tip if I might.

Get a good quality grease (water proof if you can) on the drop links for your ARB before fitting.
Mine were fitted dry (thanks Star performance) and are siezed now.
Also due to there alloy construction I canna free them off.
Also grease up (same as above) between the ARB, clamp and the rear beam.
This saves on creaking.

Thanks for the tip Willie, I will make sure it's all lubed up :D

LED tail lights look great. Where did you get the interior bulbs? Are they a straight swap to do you have to modify the holders?

Thanks mate, the taillights were a pain in the arse, so it's nice to get compliments on them. The bulbs are just off ebay (Aceparts_UK) and are a direct replacement, there are a few threads on here that give the details. The ones I am still waiting for are from someone else, they are T5s and will need to be slightly modified to fit into the rear interior light sockets, but it's the bulbs that get modified not the sockets so it's all good.
