some top work carried out on this, when does the turbo start coming in m8? bet theres not much that can keep up with this now as its still a smallish turbo compared to my gt28(rip lol) where as you have to rev the nuts off it to make it go.

Cheers Gaz :)

By 2500-2800 RPM you've got a lot of boost available so it kicks in nice and early. Traction in the lower gears is my main issue now! First isn't even worth bothering with, I always short-shift straight into second :D

haha class i bet its awesome to drive i loved my k03s ibiza used to hammer the nuts off it and still only ever went though maf's and coilpacks but nothing went wrong until i wrote it off and wanted a big turbo on the new ibiza sometimes i wish i went down the same route as you or possibly a k04 hybrid and not the big turbo route as its getting waaaay to expensive now.

top work m8 altho i think it'll look better with a standard bonnet you can sell me yours then :p

After yesterday's antics I dusted these off from out of my wardrobe :)

Not sure how many people will still read the plate as "Robbie C" though, rather than just Rob :(

;) You can buy my standard bonnet and pretend if you like mate lol

Interesting to hear your perspective on things as for the money I've now spent on the car I keep wondering whether I should have just gone BT but I do love the way the power comes on tap so quickly and I think I might miss that with something bigger, tough call really!

:)

Well, went out with Mrs C last night for a bit of a spirited run and am now on my last tank of water meth

Seems a 3 quart tank will last about 25-30 miles of full boost - all fun and games!

How did the car run? Well i take it? Happy with the level of performance?

Yeah it runs well :) I just love how it's instantly on the power, no lag. It's not a car that really scares me, but it's a lot of fun. Everyone that's come out in it has just started giggling when I hit the throttle.

Coming off a wet roundabout last night on full boost in second just for a laugh it tried throwing me into a ditch but it's fairly easy to snap back into a straight line. I need to get in on track to see where the limits are :)

Any plans on gettin it on a rolling road soon to see what shes putting down?

Yeah hopefully soon Phil, if it's 290 or above I'll be happy. Not sure it'll squeeze the magic 300 without a happy dyno. I'd like to get a group of us on the same day so we have a relative base for comparison ideally.

Your not a million miles from wales are you? You could always come down to one of the RR days goin on at GotBoost?

No I'm less than an hour away so that'd work out quite well for me - just give me a shout when you're next heading over :D

Haha, cheers mate :)

Yeah it's taken a lot of time and effort but I do feel it's all paid off now so all good :D

Yeah the HiSpecs are good I like them. I did nearly manage to set them on fire last week after a few abrupt stops when I could feel them beginning to fade but in fairness the calipers are only rated for cars up to 1000KG so I'm pushing it really. They seem to do the job nicely though, so far so good.

Another meet is definitely called for :) Hope you get your issues sorted soon too bud, stick with it!
