:)

Picked it up last night at about 9 and enjoyed a fairly steady 40 mile drive home, watching the ice and heavy fog. I really need a clear dry day before I'm going to push it properly.

Had the odd blip though and it pulls very nicely indeed :D Instant punch of torque that is held to the redline in every gear, struggling for traction in 1st, 2nd and sometimes 3rd :) It's going to be a very fun car to drive when the conditions improve.

I said it last night but I'll repeat it on here, massive thanks to Bill for all his work and professional advice, I honestly couldn't have left the car in more helpful and capable hands for which I'm truly grateful. For anyone debating about whether or not to use his services, do it :)

The car's now tucked back up in my garage in need of a very thorough wash which I'll get on and do over the Christmas break before getting some more pics up

:)

Well, with the roads looking a bit drier I decided to go out for a play this morning but beginning to wish I hadn't bothered now after I was pulled for my plates :(

Local traffic police were conducting ANPR checks and apparently my plate was unreadable... cue £60 fixed penalty notice and a telling off, with a warning that if I get caught again I could lose the plate. I'm sure this only used to be a £30 FPN but it seems to have increased lately...

Purely out of interest of course.... but does anyone know if these records are permanent or do they expire after x amount of time? I was advised it will be reported to the DVLA :(

That aside, I then went on to find some nice country roads for a little bit of fun and she pulls like a train so all good :)

Yeah I knew it was only a matter of time really... £60 dead money leaves a sour taste though.

Apparently if the DVLA get x number of reports of the plate being misrepresented they have the legal power to reclaim it. As I understand it they own the plate, I'm merely entitled to the right to display it on my vehicle :(

Sorry to here Robbie, unlucky for you. Nice to here your enjoying the badger5 power.
Get some videos sometime,i want to here it :p in action.

;) I'm not one for recording videos of silly illegal stunts unless it's on track but a friend of mine did insist he get a quick drive-by in a tunnel on a quiet road which I'll see about uploading so people can see/hear what it's now like.

:) With Brands Hatch coming up on the 27th Jan that should give plenty of chance to get some good videos and shots.

It sounds like a small jet engine outside sucking all that air in, love it :D

Hey mate, good to hear from you - yeah been a while!

Haha, yeah definitely that'd be cool - be nice to show you the difference since you last saw it, we'll get something arranged. How are you getting on with the Astra?

Ah yeah cool - I'm moving into a flat over there next month so was probably going to a viewing :)

Yeah I kinda knew I was on borrowed time with the plates, though the font size etc is all OK and I've had loads of coppers follow me before without taking any notice. Just the traffic division that notice these things more I guess :( I made sure both windows were rolled down as he walked over... ;)

In my eyes the plate is still perfectly readable and I haven't tried to alter any of the letters to read something else, just the ANPR cameras didn't like it which I guess makes me immune from SPECS too - not that I'd test the theory!

They had a good look round the car, checked all my details, breathalised etc etc. Think they were gutted there was nothing else they could pin on me tbh... I'd be lying if I said I had much time for any of it, just winds me up but meh. If they'd have just left it at the plate then fair enough, but I didn't take too well to the scrutiny that followed.
