Well the snow has put a stop on the work, been told my new manifold and exhaust system is now built and fitted! But the rollers aren't open till the new year so the car can't be mapped now till then.

He has a few little jobs to do on it, fit my INA sump and the throttle cable that came with the bodies weren't the best so he said so is improving that!

Wait tll after xmas to get an update, hopefully have it back in the new year now, then it's off to Old School Engineering to have my Polycarb windows fitted :)

AND:

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Hi Dave. I have just finished reading through January's issue of Golf +. Your feature was a great one. The car looked very clean and well cared for. I don't tend to keep up to date with Ibiza threads too often as I'm a LCR owner :ban: sorry.....

I just wanted to congratulate you on your achievements with your car so far. It's nice to see a clean example sporting the 'brief rally heritage look'. The colour looks great too, especially with the car wearing white MOs. I hope the work that you are currently having carried out is successful in achieving your aims for its performance.

Have a great New Year.

James.

Thanks fella, means a lot when people see the work that's gone into the Ibiza, really looking forward to the throttle bodies now. Had news that the exhaust is almost finished they just got the backbox left to do with a nice oval tailpipe instead of the twin 2.5" I had before.

Mark @ Saxon Motorsport needs to refit the thottle bodies after modifying them for the vaccum feed to the brake servo, little touches to the airbox he made and he isn't happy with the throttle cable. Then it's a wait for the rollers he uses to reopen after the new year to get it mapped! ;)

Have asked for photos so he's going to take some for me.

Right then had some photos from Saxon Motorpsort and they now given me new ideas and I will be searching for a few part numbers after this!

Here's my manifold

And my new tailpipe instead of the twin 2.5" I had before, looking at the photo it looks too far left from the cut out on the bumper but that could be the angle of the photo was taken. Will be sorted if it isn't right anyway ;)

And now for the photo that I been looking forward to is the engine bay, although the bodies and the air box look good I can't help but look at how dirty the bay is. So I will be ordering new tanks and bottles and be getting it to look clean!

Plus I see that he's used two blue hoses so have asked him for the size on them to order some red ones up!
