Individual to each application as I see it, especially when there can be quite some variance in the hybrid specifications themselves.

Though either way, a K0x housing is always going to struggle to flow much more than 280 BHP figures (maxed out) with all supporting mods in place - this is where WMI steps in :)

Very true that there are alot of different variables to take into acccount, like fmic setup, different types of mods and of course the turbo itself like you said. Think we sometimes do forget that these are still very small turbos and like other turbos, they do have their limits. Personally, i'd be happy with a solid and reliable 250bhp with a nice high torque figure!

I would think so. Maybe 280bhp max.

You dont see too many stage 2 LCR's making mare than 280bhp do you?

Yup tis true, they are all around 260-270 give or take, and thats with the normal standard KO4 units.

Im sure everyone that gets a ko3hybrid done will enjoy it, certainly a step up in power from a ko3s setup.

like we have all said, figures are for bragging rights, its how it drives, and I am really pleased with mine at the moment

I think I may go on a RR next week which is 5 mins away from me, just to set a headline figure and something to improve upon while I am still fixing a few things on the car

at least it will give us a ball park figure:)

if anyone cares to join me, it will be at this place www.surreyrollingroad.co.uk (pm me to confirm a day)

I get the feeling that the JBS manifold is going to seriously whoop the INA one, giving better results for sure. Cant wait to see the results!

okies.. update
like for like log with no change since i lst saw it other than the motors now got IE rods in it and bead rolled IC pipework.

very different ambient temps.. and aits, so its not going to be an exact comparison.
previous logs had aits in the mid 20's, today its single figures max and minus 2.5 on log

1.3-1.5bar peak and 1.2bar at 6krpm on both logs

INA manifold on previous logs 217g/s - timing pulls of 6's on +8.25degrees of unisettings timing
JBS manifold on todays log 215g/s - timing pull of 3's avg on +8.25degrees of unisettings timing

very cold conditions today compared to before.
no wow difference in running between before to after from manifold
I would say this logs are in the realms of measurement error and difference between ambients on the days it was done before and today

MBC added and some more dialed in..
1.65bar - 24psi sustained as long as the turbo can, falls down to 18-20 at 6krpm
3rd is spinning up in the cold conditions
peak airflow logged is 224g/s now

no adjustmentd made to wmi
forge unos is smooth boost delivery to the max the turbo can manage

less timing pull on current build before mbc turned up, but ambient temps are way less also by 20'c or so.. not a lot in it at face value

MrsB lupo test will be interesting one to see. no change on that one other than just manifold being fitted, from stock on to jbs one.

Interesting... thanks Bill

Would you not have expected more g/s today with colder, denser ambient air?

Nice little difference with the UNOS too it seems - I thought it was peaking higher than 1.5 bar before with the N75 so that's interesting to note too.

As you say, not really any significant difference you can take away as the timing pull is governed by the current temps outside.

Is there anything further to be had from the turbo with those rods in Bill? Happy with how it drives?

drives fine, i think the little turbos on its max tho. top end flow is its restriction no matter how high you choose to run the mbc, the top end is what it is... flow limited. liftng the mid range torque is what its doing.. and i would probably reduce the timing advance, as 5th gear pull was showing relatively high timing pull on sustained high load. acceleration thru the gears its fine, but load it doing a vmax run and its going to pull some timing out. would only need a couple of degrees taking out to make it a nicer cf number which i cvan do but have'nt as yet
i have the car back on the ramp to do the wishbone (forgot!) which i will do tomorrow night as i am frozen now and off home to hug something warm

it holds the 24psi alot longer than previously when on n75, but does drop to 18-20psi which is flat out at high revs.

its still a small turbo, but responsive and will break traction in 3rd in todays cold weather but dry road. tcs is working overtime lol

Cool, all fair points. Notice any difference with the diff in? TCS always gets turned off as habit now anyway, straight after belting up and turning the key :)

Good to see that the JBS manifold does sustain the same boost levels as the INA as I know RobDon in particular was concerned that the collector would act as a restriction and these logs would appear to disprove that.

I really am questioning whether I should have gone BT though must admit, although I've not even driven mine in the dry yet to see how it feels for myself lol. We'll see.

All sounding good though, thanks for all your efforts Bill. In your eyes, is there anything else this setup could benefit from or do you see this as "done"?

Well, had an email from Bill this morning to tell me the car is now ready so with any luck I'll head over to pick it up tonight :) Now all I need is some dry conditions to enjoy it!

Just want to say thanks for everyone's positive comments that you've been leaving, really makes it all that much more worth it :)

given the conditions, cold damp etc, the diff has been working leaving the odd Number 11 on the local roads.. in 3rd gear!
