I have now twice experienced this effect within one month on my Altea XL 1.9 TDI, 2008. Km's only 15000!
After starting the engine and starting driving, after about 100 metres oil pressure light turns on and warning alarm beeps.
I turn off the engine, open the engine hood and notice, that oil filter cap has pulled off and motor has pumped all engine oil off.
So there must be some kind of pressure inside the engine.
Car is now in service and fortunately it has warranty still left. Service company only tells, that this is known issue and they are looking for parts to fix it. They do not tell exactly what is wrong. Do you have any idea?
I live in Scandinavia and it is freezing now, but when this happened first time there was around +5 degrees celsius, so it can't be freezing problem.
Anyone knowing more about this issue, please enlighten me! My trust for Seat has seriously suffered because of these two incidents.
