Scuttle Panel Removal

I have what seems to be a common problem of the wipers on a Leon moving slowly, after a couple of searches it seems that it is the wiper mechanism, i have removed the wiper, but have have come a little suck at the removal of the scuttle panel, is this sealed to the windscreen? if so what is the best way to remove this and what is the best way to reseal it, and advice please.

There is a metal channel along the bottom of the screen. The scuttle has a lip all the way across that plugs into the channel. Remove by prising one end upwards at 90 degrees to the screen.

There is no sealant as DPJ says. You just need to pull it off.

hi m8. thescuttle just pulls off .im having a simula prob with my mk1leon cupra .ive got a water leak in the drivers footwell it aint the windscreen thats been checed .poss the plastic wiring loomcover have taken this off this year &removed the foam gasket &re-sealed with instant gasket goo.not sure if its worked yet .tell ul8r

ive got a slight whistle noise coming from my windowscreen, do you think this could be causing the problem of the scuttle not being fitted right?

Dont know wot u mean scuttle not fitting right.R u sure its pushed in firm? Thers a metal panel at base of windscreen with holes in it is it pushed firmly into the holes?Only whistlin noise i get is from the turbo at low speed then ucant hear it 4wind/road noise.
