hi all, sorry if this has been covered before, im desperate to give my LC mk1 a nice induction noise, its standard at the moment, i have read elsewhere that a 'green dynatwist' sounds quite angry? has anyone found theses to be any good? my other option is a neuspped p flow or a carbonio, possibly an airbox of an r32 dsg too, any help greatly appreciated thanks all.

I have the Dynatwist i only bought these as it has the heatsheild for summer an you can remove it for winter just wat i wanted, Now on the noise i might be wrong but you dont really get a growl on turbo cars its more the turbo spooling you can hear an then the dump valve, more of a whoooosshhhhh than a grrrrrrr lol :D

cheers mate, someone said his car sounded like a f****d off lion!! with a dynatwist on, im relatively inexperienced with the turbo cars so yes, i understand now that i may be barking under the wrong tree so to speak! incidentally when i got my car a few months ago, i did mistake the engine note from inside the cabin as the car having some sort of induction kit or something fitted, the place i got the car from also did i think now! as what you can actually experience is the results of a poly-dog bone mount thingy!!! i may sound stupid but it does give a little resonance when setting off and going through the gears, quite nice actually!
thanks for your reply again.

As its a turbo you wont get induction roar really as the throttle body is so far away from the filter, what you will get is turbo spool which is a high pitch sucking noise.

a cheap way to find out if you what to run open cone is pop down to Halfords and pick up a Ripspeed one for £26. I've got one on at the moment and it logs exactly the same as my Green panel filter, 164-169 g/s on my stage 1 map.

I will be changing it at some point, but to what I don't know. Jetex or Apexi I suspect.

If you really wanna hear whats going on under there, remove the bonnet lining, get an open cone filter, then a new DV followed by an N249 bypass for added chatter.

Mine sounds like a jet engine when the turbo kicks in, extremely loud sucking sound, followed by a massive shove in the back and then a rather loud dump valve...whoosh...not really the right word for it, it doesn't whoosh with N249 bypass so much but it sounds angry.

Have a search for it, there are guides a plenty...or check my build up, I took a photo of it somewhere :)

If you buy a kit, then it will come with fixings but if you make a custom one, then it won't.

One slight problem with them they can suck up water, if you go through any sizes puddle, i had one when i first had the leon, looked at the filter one time when cleaning the car and it was all rusty and soaking wet, and the paranoha when it rains started to be a bit to much, took it off and bought a neuspeed p-flow.
