One slight problem with them they can suck up water, if you go through any sizes puddle, i had one when i first had the leon, looked at the filter one time when cleaning the car and it was all rusty and soaking wet, and the paranoha when it rains started to be a bit to much, took it off and bought a neuspeed p-flow.

Hmm I did find moisture in my IC pipes one time, what can happen to the engine?

well if you think about it, moisture will get into the pipes through the FMIC, nothing you can do to stop that, but that I would suspect is fine as this will quickly evaporate once the engine is on. Its only if you drive through a puddle and directly suck up chunks of water - kaboom!!

Mine was down behind the bumper until it started sucking in water and killed the MAF sensor, I'd imagin a little bit of water would eveporate in the turbo? but it soon kills the MAF.

Either way its not a good idea in the wet, I've got mine in engine bay with cold air feed now.

True true. I wasn't sure if FMICs were totally sealed units but it seems fine.
